I took my first picture with my cell phone this evening! Well, first pic that wasn't accidental anyway. I don't know how to transfer it to my computer, but the quality probably isn't great anyway. I put the phone about a foot from it's face and took three pics - the turtle/tortiose was starting to get annoyed so I didn't press the issue. I think it was on eggs because it was in a sandy spot in the middle of a clearing out in the woods.
Getting a new living room set tomorrow, so we had to get the old one out for the garbage last night. I figured it would require removing the arms to get the couch around a corner and out the door, but it actually required removing the arms AND slicing the back off the seat with a skilsaw. I have no friggin clue how the delivery guys are gonna get the new one in around that corner. Meanwhile: confused dog!
First time we've been able to go out and party in a year. Good times! That's a tux I got Sophomore year. Still fits!
Bagster!! With 20 years worth of crap from the basement, including 5 doors that the previous owner left down there after a renovation. I hate to throw out a family heirloom, but that wooden stepladder of my grandfather's was getting a bit rickety.
Took this at Ft. DeSoto park yesterday. By the time I released my finger off the shutter button on my phone the sun had slipped under the horizon. I couldn't have timed it better. Then I got home and looked at the pic. Gotta say I'm happy with the composition. I took the pic not from the beach but from the east shore of a tidal pool between the parking lot and the proper beach. That reflection from the tidal pool looks cool if you ask me. You can faintly see my son in the center of the pic running to the shore to try to see the sun go down. If you've never seen a sun set at the beach you are missing something because you can literally watch the sun slip below the horizon. Finally I just realized that it was the kids first sunset at the beach. In all these years, we get to the beach in the morning and are done by 2pm or so. I need to get back out there with my dSLR
This one is from a few minutes later. Still plenty of light but the craptacular camera on my phone comes into play. Anyways as soon as the sun went down the tidal pool exploded with thousands of tiny crabs coming to the surface from mud burrows and making a mad dash for a meal
For us getting a good sunrise like that, your best bets are during the late fall and early spring months. Right now were at the prime of our drop dead gorgeous sunset season.
Here's a picture of me after completing the Tough Mudder on Saturday. I won't muck up this thread with the 30 or so other pics I have, but I'll post those in my fitness blog thread in a little bit.
It was cool. The hardest part had to do with some ski slopes we ran up. I don't suppose a Florida mudder would have that issue. I would say you don't want to take it lightly. Be sure to train with a lot of running on off road surfaces. Also pull-ups are good, muscle-ups are even better. Most of the physically challenging obstacles (as opposed to psychological) can be accomplished by techniques similar to the muscle-up.
In the past year I've dropped 55 lbs (230 to 175). One of the reasons was to take the pressure of my back and hip so I could start working out again. I may just make this one of my goals. Question, are their penalties for ripping the tops off of women?
Not sure about that one, but I do know that any time you help a woman climb over something, it's pretty much a requirement that you grab her ass.
Did you guys know that Aloe Vera flowered? I didn't. 0 Also, 3 of 11 Lithographs I found in a canister today.
I'm down from 235 to 175 in just about a year. When I saw you I was wearing 40" waist jeans and an XL t-shirt. I can now fit in 32" waist jeans and a medium sized shirt.
