I think the personal information rule should be left as is, with the possible addition of Workshop posts being given the same protection as Blue Room posts.

The Green Room is where most of the personal info stuff is going on.

I see no point to allow personal info from anywhere other than the Red Room to be allowed.

Want to feed the trolls? Knock yourself out, that's where they are.

But to say I can't talk about regional cooking in the Green Room or discuss how my POV is dictated by where I grew up in the Workshop goes against the very nature of the reason for the rooms.

Well, the old rule has never been enforced in any consistent manner, and the current version pretty much explicitly says it won't be, so it's not as if we're currently protected by any such rule. So I don't see how it matters much unless you want to newly introduce such a rule, and actually follow through on it.
