For someone who sneers at people's "FEEEEEELNGS" people's imagined tone sure gets under your skin, and twists up your panties.

As far as I'm aware, there isn't any evidence they killed anyone. There isn't a lot of conclusive evidence as to what happened in those final moments, but I thought it was commonly believed that, based in the cockpit recordings, the terrorists deliberately crashed the plane.

To be honest, I'm not very familiar with particular part of WWII, but didn't he fail in his attempted coup?

(Side note: ironically in my high school world history class, my teacher would often say "we won't get into WWII too much because you'll study that more in depth in college." And then in college, my history professors would say "we won't get into WWII too much because you probably studied it to death in high school." So a lot of my WWII knowledge comes from self-study and movies/TV. Always open to learn more though.)

I'm not claiming to be morally superior. If push comes to shove, I would defend my family. And I would deal with the moral implications of that if it resulted in causing another's death. There is a difference between saying something is immoral versus saying I would never do that thing.

Maybe if you took the time to read and understand my posts, instead of immediately mashing away at the keyboard, you'd realize that.

And how does he know you haven't earned it? That seems like a smug sense of moral superiority.

Still waiting on this evidence of my supposed "cowardice" being anything other than "he says things I don't like, so I call him names."

Criticising, mocking and refusing to comply with something does not constitute fear of it. What else have you got?

*edit* Or is it the "preparedness is fear" idiocy? Because I do live in constant fear of flat tires and sunburns.

that's an odd perception... if anything, I've only withheld shit about myself or downplayed what I've chosen to share.

UA's been pretty consistent in how he's chosen to portray himself here, and being that my tendency is to give the benefit of doubt to people's presentation of themselves...

I also fundamentally disagree with the notion of "earning" respect. That implies that one person's is somehow more valuable than the other's. If it isn't mutually extended from the get go, it's submission.

oh bullshit... you fire the first shots practically every time, and frequently when you weren't even part of the conversation.

your lack of humanity and complete disregard for others is why people think you're a dick. look back at how you've spoken about the class of people I work with-let alone the made up bullshit you've come at me personally with.

always found it disappointing, too, as I always thought we had a fair bit in common.

I don’t think my perception is odd at all. But, then, {shrug} I guess I’ve never really fit in anywhere anyway.

I didn’t say UA has misrepresented himself. I just said I’m more likely to believe someone who is honest about their shortcomings. Remember that guy who posted here for a while … always bragging about how much money he had and his “hot Latina wife”. I didn’t believe him and I am on the fence about Lubak as well.

Also, never said anything about “earning” respect. Only that basic respect is and should always be granted until someone demands more. And that’s not just me or UA. Everyone is that way. Even you.

You just choose to focus on the part that is given. UA focuses on the part where he bristles when assholes demand more respect than is basically given. To you, that asshole is represented by police and certain other people in positions of authority. For UA, that is represented by ANY person that says “if you don’t bow before me you don’t respect me.” The kind of people that are just ignored by you and I.

You choose not to read what UA is saying and instead impose your own impressions on him and argue against him as if he is Storm, reborn.

see, there's the thing. he's always put forward exactly that "if you don't bow/agree, you don't respect me". Borne out by his frequent claim that others must earn his respect by deferring to him and his positions.

my impressions are based entirely on what he's shown me/said about others over the years.

Of course entitled people disagree when I suggested they aren't owed anything just for existing. But that's the beauty of free will. If you don't want to act respectably, you don't have to. Just remember who made that choice.

When @Jenee pegs him she is the man and he is the woman. That is still heterosexual. Now when he fantasizes about me pegging him that might be homoerotic depending on how he actually sees me gender wise.
