I'll say it once: This may be the Red Room, but we're in a memorial thread: Don't start shit here.

    We need @Black Dove!

Strangely on that note, I received a FB message recently from a friend who died two years ago. His widow did not close the account because she saw it as a memory book of sorts. I guess it was hacked, since I doubt his ghost really has any opinion on the product he "couldn't believe," and just knew I would like.

I wonder if Muad's family might have taken the thread down because someone from WF took his trolling of the dead to FB...

A close friend of mine died in May and, so far, his widow has left his Facebook account open. A lot of us use it as a remembrance still. When I was on a business trip in his town in August, I "checked in" with him at his favorite bar and others have done the same thing. :(

Has this happened? Im not on spacebook with you lot, but if it has, and someone here has stunk up the guys FB page then to hell with the rules, instant ban from WF as far as im concerned, and a hopefully a nasty accident in real life!

No, it has not happened (so far as I know). Garamet is trying to stir the pot.

Since when did Garamet become FB friends with the WF group let alone Muad? @Stallion I'm not sure, but maybe she is guessing.

garamet is speculating. At least that's what it's called outside the RR.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I've never even indicated whether or not I'm on FB, and Bear would certainly never allow me access to the WF page if I were.

ETA: It's past time this thread was moved to the Green Room. IMO that should have happened starting with Post #113.

I was going through my old photobucket account, and found this:

It was the pony I made for Muad Dib when he asked me about confederate ponies. He liked it, and I forgot I had it. I just figured I'd put it here.

I have been real busy with work and school and not much time for message boards. I am stunned. I can believe he went so fast. I remember reading that he had been diagnosed. I remember driving to his house not long after I got the MG restored and we went for a ride on a beautiful summer day. His kids were running around the house and he was so proud showing me all his reenactment stuff and civil war antiques he had. He lived in a nice log cabin up on a hill that was a pretty steep climb. I don't know what to say. I am ashamed I did not log back in here. Shit...this is a lump in the throat moment. I brought a couple home brewed beers of mine along that day and we drank them. Time certainly is fleeting. I hope everyone else is well.
    Regards. EP :salute:

Dammit. So sad I didn't get to talk to him one last time, but relieved that he was spared any more pain. RIP, Joe. :(

Muad was one of the good guys. We never interacted much here, to be honest, and that's a regrettable thing.
