Seriously, stuff like this frightens me. WTF? Perhaps something like this is normal for Americans, but holy hell... What's going on there?? This is some seriously brainwashed, cult-like, disturbing madness. If I was there, I'd feel deeply horrified.

Our universities went totally insane two or three years ago. I'm not sure employers will hire graduates from 2014 to probably 2020. We'll call them the lost generation and put them out in a field where they can hurt anybody.

What is the context? Is this even a university mandated chant or is it just some protesters chanting? Just because people are chanting does not make it scary unless you are a cowardly individual.

I didn't bother researching what these people are fighting for, just stumbled across the clip. They could fight to save the whales for all I care. Perhaps they are even right. But this chant, the repetition... Perhaps it is a cultural thing, me being an European and all and not used to oaths and pathos, but something feels very wrong about it. VERY wrong.

I just found it especially scary that something like this happens at universities. Again, it's not what they are protesting, it's how it is done. And it doesn't matter that they are a group which fights for minority rights. Just because they seem to fight the good fight, their behaviour is scary, because it reminds me of some people who did it in the same way. Oaths and pathos... "Duty, fighting and winning!" doesn't make it better, to say the least... Calling their behaviour weird and scary doesn't make me a racist, at least in sane countries. What is this, American political correctness? I don't give a fuck. Racial dynamics may be important in America, but I am colorblind!

This whole SJW thing is a logical overreaction to decades of systemic racism and other discrimination IMO. The pendulum swings to the other side at the moment, a lot of stupid shit is done. That's normal. People will grow out of it with time. The fanatical SJW provide a lot of entertainment, and so do their opponents. Universities have always been the place for ideological battles of extremists. However, group think should not have a place in an intellectual environment. This is what is really scary, not "funny" ideas of idealistic young people.
