flow, I have trouble believing a Senator couldn't have gotten out of the patdown if he'd wanted to. It's a lot easier for me to believe he was trying to prove some kind of point.

Since it doesn't say he backed down and was frisked OR that he went back through the scanners as he requested, I'm left to believe they let him go on his merry way after the cat was let out of the bag, point made and hoping it doesn't get out of hand.

Ron Paul won't get the GOP nomination this year because he won't bend to the party's will. It's probably going to require a default to finally slap the Feds upside of the head with some fiscal common sense.

I have an ominous feeling that if he is re-elected and we get four more years of "this", he and his family are going meet the same fates in a basement like those of Nicholas Romanov, his wife, children, pets, and staff. Might as well hang the flag behind them too.

Could be worth noting that Ron Paul grooming someone to be his successor could backfire in a similar manner, though it'd be unlikely Paul nor his handpicked successor would see their name plate on Oval Office desk.
