Seems to me I recall a mention of Zimmerman making numerous calls, some would argue as a list of rediculous reasons iIrc, to the local PD far before this institutional claim. Anything that points toward charging Zimmerman is cheered by one side. Anything that points toward backing up Zimmerman's story is cheered by the other side. And it's all gotten sucked up into the partisan vortex that everything else gets sucked into.

What else is there left to do other than wait for the grand jury to hand down its decision?

Looking at it, I'm still not convinced... I've never seen someone get their head "gashed" meaningfully and not require stitches. That said, it gives potential credibility to him not throwing the first punch.

This proves what besides that he took a couple of shots in a fight that he could have avoided?

No. But that doesn't make it right.

Everyone thinks he's Hercule Poirot and is going to blow the case wide open by looking at what's released to the public. But, really, stop and think for a moment.

The police said Zimmerman had visible injuries. Zimmerman was treated at the scene for those injuries. He is said to have to gone to a doctor the next day and had a broken nose.

Do you REALLY think because you can't see those injuries on security camera video that SOMEHOW they're not there? Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

This is how conspiracy theorists behave. They see something that opens the door very slightly to controversy and then they proceed as if there can be no other explanation than conspiracy, despite the illogic of that assumption.

IF it turned out that Zimmerman was completely uninjured, it would be easy enough to prove and the police would have some explaining to do.

When you have an "Aha! This proves the grand conspiracy!" moment, step back and think about it. You're probably wrong. It's more likely that you've grossly misinterpreted some piece of evidence.

Example: JFK's head goes back and to the left, which looks to someone who "dabbles in physics" [Bill Hicks] that JFK's head is reacting to a shot that had come from the front/right. Therefore, Grassy Knoll Shooter. Sounds plausible, logical even. But it's completely false.

Also Zimmerman varies from 170 to 270 pounds? My weight goes up and down a few pounds a day, but this seems a little strange.

Yes, it's possible to knock someone out with one punch if you practice a lot/get lucky but since Trayvon doesn't have a history of fighting (or so it has been claimed) then it's very unlikely.

I TKO'd a kid once (perfect shot to the temple) but he was my size, and yes, I fought a lot so this was a factor too. He wasn't completely out, but was laid out on the floor totally unable to move or function in any capacity. I felt bad afterwards, because it could have been avoided. After that I only fought kids bigger/stronger than me just for the adrenaline rush.

Did you read it? Stutzman is not a witness. He's just saying what Zimmerman reportedly told police.

Martin, according to Zimmerman got the first punch in. Zimmerman wasn't knocked out.

Say what you will, but at this stage no media outlet should be running pictures of Trayvon as a Twelve year old. That's only going to make things worse.
