Should burning the American flag be illegal?

Fair enough - Trump will never pass anything that jails people for angrily burning the flag to make a statement. He should, however, publicly humiliate them.

Yeah Petraeus might be a great source of experience but that classified information thing is a deal-breaker, period. What he did off-duty in his marriage is wrong but not surprising (powerful men get all the women, we get that) but doing shit that affects your job and potentially endanger lives? There are plenty of reasons to dislike (or even hate) Donald Trump without making them up.

Last time I saw violence on this issue was when illegal alien scum were rioting downtown, breaking store windows, burning US Flags, and waving Mexican ones to supposedly protest Trump. Some Marines decided to object to this behavior by the criminal aliens, things got pushy, then before you know it the marines kicked the living shit out of the worst offenders. The police came in, pepper sprayed the illegal alien shit bags, clubbed them in the head a few times, and then arrested them.

You want to cause a scene and effectively shit in the middle of other people's living rooms? Ok, don't be surprised when their reaction isn't pretty because you have it coming to you.

I think it's a bad decision. Again, the powerful get away with everything. If I (as an E-6) did what Petraeus did my ass would still be in prison. Fuck I hate double standards especially within my own profession but that shit happens constantly. That's why the military has trouble keeping good people these days. They get wise to the bullshit & hypocrisy and dog & pony games. Nobody wants to deal with that for 20 years, and a lot of young people stay single longer - no 20 year old country boys with a wife & two kids to support. So single young people can deal with a temporarily light paycheck & benefits if they exit the military after one or two enlistments.

I make it habit to read all posts if I'm participating in the thread. I can certainly understand and respect ignoring Dinner. It's probably a much more sane approach, but I do feel it necessary both as staff but also as a participant in the give and take to pay attention to what everybody has said.
