@Obiwan-Can-Blow-Me has gone full retard in this thread. Are your reading comprehension skills actually that bad, or is the GOP kool aid just that strong? It doesn't seem that anyone here agrees with the take on CRT that you're criticizing. Straw man extreme.

The thing is, it would basically be impossible to teach this without there being easily documented proof. If someone was teaching "White people are evil and should feel ashamed about themselves," one would think there would be plenty of evidence of it despite whatever denial the teachers might do after the fact. There'd be the 20-30 kids who are witnesses. There would be lesson plans. Slides. Homework. Brochures. Recordings of the lectures where these comments were made. Etc etc. In this day and age, someone teaching a classroom of kids -- particularly those in jr high or higher where everyone has their own cell phone and social media -- would go viral if they had a single lesson that was meant to say "white people bad."

The effort to deny they're teaching what they're teaching would be all too easy to make futile.

So do you think @Obiwan-Can-Blow-Me is mad because he cannot throw the black kids out of the seats at the front of the schoolbus like his ancestors did? It seems he does not want that called racist because he wants it to be the natural way of things as his parents taught him.

It just seems like this whole argument is over the same thing the confederacy taught. Now we call it racism, but he wants it to be natural law like it was a few years back.

So maybe we need to frame the argument better and decide if it should be natural law as tucker carlson says, or is it racism as non-white supremacists say? When you phrase it properly it seems simple.

So let's assume you're right, and CRT is being taught at that level. Do the parents not notice what their kids are reading? Suddenly little Billy is bringing home The Big Book of Critical Race Theory, Marxism, and You. If a parent didn't want little Billy learning that stuff, don't you think they'd speak up about it?

I suppose that someone might claim that they are teaching it but they are just THAT GOOD at their brainwashing efforts that they don't leave a trace that they are doing it.

The problem with the banning of the teaching is that the purpose is to stupify your kids so that they can be indoctrinated into the hate. Look @Amaris who is admittedly pro-socialism and communism. Does anyone think she actually wants a fascist regime like Stalin or Russia? Does anyone actually think the regime of Hitler where the state did take over production is what she wants? If you do you are a moron. There is a real idea to the evolution of our society using state run industries that could make things better for us than what Capitalism can do. But the ignorant masses and corrupt capitalists fear those things because they reveal the problems with the Capitalist agenda and national propaganda of the US. They know a cxritical thinking individual is going to have a problem with all socialist and communist ideas are wrong if they learn about them.

It is even more evident in their fear of teaching how racism works in america. The more you are presented with an honest view of the history of america, the more you recognize how wrong the founders were in their ideas, the more it destroys the divine mandate the right wants to promote, and the more you recognize the corruption and problems that keep our communities down. In a way they are right that it is a huge threat to our way of life, but they do not want you to critically think about it because you would want a change to a better less racist way of living because it makes everything better.

There is brainwashing. CRT is just a way of critical thinking, and critical thinking defeats brainwashing. They want to project that everyone is brainwashing people when it is them who is just obviously protecting their brainwashing from the truth. Maybe it is that some people are so stupid you need to program them, but let us do that with the truth if that is the case.

    simplest explination:

Right wingers ALWAYS lead with projection. They take it as a given that anyone who obtains political power would do with it exactly what *THEY* (right wingers) want to do with it, or have done with it.

So if they spend a century plus after reconstruction burying facts and propagandizing a narrative to all students that reinforces their political goals, well then it goes without saying that if liberals run the schools they would misuse them in exactly the same way.

They are like this on every issue. It has been rightly observed that the privileged are so threatened by equality because they are terrified that the formerly oppressed will treat the (formerly) privileged just the same way the privileged have been treating them.

And worse, they KNOW it's bullshit. This is a revamp of an earlier tweet that was rightly roasted but it's worth noting...

As I responded re the earlier version: dude is saying it right out loud, not that the ugly things aren't true - but that we DARE NOT tell students the facts and it's better for everyone to propagandize them.

I think about this every time I hear conservatives claim "the 2020 election was stolen from Trump."

What I hear is that Trump used every low down dirty cheat he could get away with with and the American people were so opposed to him that it didn't work. He allowed COVID to run rampant to suppress an electorate, rushed through judicial, appointments installed stooges at the Pentagon & US Postal service and sabotaged mail sorting machines in key swing states.... and still lost.

The only reason it didn't work is because even though some of his installed stooges had no morals about it, most of them were Republicans of good conscience and stood up to him at the right time. They stayed in place and stopped a psycho when they needed to. Now it seems that the GOP is making an effort to root out these Repubs that stopped a coup.

CRT is a term used in academia for decades, used by academics and was intended to *stay* in academia. No one couldve predicted political terrorists was going to completely hijack the term and misappropriate the damn thing. This isn't at all like "defund the police."

White folks really gotta stop with being in y'all feels over "Branding". Some shit need to make people uncomfortable because I promise you that whatever temporary squeamish fee-fees you suffer for 5 seconds is nothing compared to the shit minorities have had to put up with. :jayzus:

Go yell at whoever came up with the term in the 1970s for not having an oracle or a time machine, then

We could call it Magical Negro Fun Times and the GOP is still gonna shit a brick because the issue is never the name but what it's talking about.

Why would I do that? As usual you completely miss the point. I'm talking about the recent push to introduce it into schools. Repackage that shit and sell it. Unfortunately the public sector is dumb as shit, as per usual

Also, serious question: are you a @Jenee dual?

There was never a push to put it in schools, you dingbat. That's the fucking point. They misapplied this term to drum out outrage to censor the ongoing discussion of inequality in American history. THAT'S what we've pushed against.

Canada got its own race issues, maybe go focus on that before speaking about our shit you know nothing about. :async:

This entire thread is about how Repubs are claiming that there's a push to get CRT in schools but there is no such push. If you have any reason to believe it is, then please let us know....

Please. Shirogayne's ... closer to your age in that you guys grew up post 1960's civil rights. Shit happened before 1960 that would curl the hair of both of you. But, rather than attempt to learn from the past and how we got where we are, you both start with right here, right now and start bitching.

Both of you need to get over yourselves and accept that things have happened that affect you both in different ways. It's not the fault of you two, but instead of looking for the ... shit in the corner, you keep blaming each other for farting in your direction.
