That may be but I've never had the desire to do it nor consistently post trolling threads about Dayton in an attempt to "trap" him by goading him into slipping up on his personal information and then use the mods as a "weapon" against him when he complains.

The fact that Dayton once said he traps people in threads and uses mods as weapons doesn't make it right that others do the same.

This is a clear violation of the Board Rules As Described By Dayton, because I took this member's real name, something she has never made a secret on this board, and used my incredible research skills (defined as walking six feet to my bookshelf and being able to read) to locate a published resource with said name on it.

I expect to be reported or banned shortly.

After reading through this, I've decided two things:

1) If Dayton, as he now claims, thought Chad didn't actually know where Dayton works currently (and thus Dayton's link request wouldn't reveal Dayton's current employer), Dayton is either a complete fool or is a liar. I'm leaning towards liar as even revealing the handbook from Dayton's last job would still be revealing new personal information.
2) Dayton would gladly jeopardize his own job it seems so long as he could get a mod to warn or ban an anonymous member of WF. Priorities.

Look, Dayton has informed us peacemeal, (and directly), of so much about his life outside the BR over the years an absolute id10t with an IQ of -3 who's been here, (and even just coming in if they have a brain), could decipher exactly where he worked.

This playing of the martyr when called to the mat is rediculous given his continous feel for a need to address anything that has his name in it. He could have just as easily have skimmed the content and gone elsewhere yet he chose to engage and taunt his aggressors in a fashion that inevedably bit him in the ass but this is nothing new really.

I mean really, anyone who is worth their salt as a parent will look up any avalable information on their children's teachers and ultimately this place would be readily revealed where they can see for themselves the man who is supposed to be their offspring's mentor. That they act on it or not is not for me to try to understand, they have or haven't concerns and act on them or they don't.

That's kind of beside the point though. Point here is we know he can't refrain from detailing every facet of his life online and as a result here we are playing yet again another round of poke the rules with a stick, or should I say schtick, in an attempt to goad Dayton.

Best course of action would have been to ignore this thread and let it die but he chose to engage and in an attempt to be clever shot himself in the foot. Having a hard time finding any sympathy for the outcome since given the information readily available online the only argument here is a violation of board policy by openly revealing RL information not openly provided by said poster of target.

But rules are rules and though the Help Desk will light up with activity in the impending circle jerk when it happens the only course of action imho is just give the perpetrator of the breach his obligatory two week vacation and get it over with. While Dayton did indeed try to set "the trap" in an attempt to play this "game" he as mentioned chose poorly.



We spend far too much time on these games of policy tweaking and nowhere near enough time actually discussing topics of interest.

That's all I have to say on the matter, I have better things to do than this kind of skullfuckery and am off to do it. Changing the cat box holds more interest than this kind of crap.

I've warned Dayton on a number of occasions in the past about the consequences of playing fast and loose with your personal information on the interwebz. I hope for his own sake that he has Lifelock or Provent to prevent ID theft because he's told everything about himself except for his social security number and in very open forums.

Even those of you who know me on Facebook know that I don't even post a helluva lot of personal info even there. Especially there. When you put that shit out there in the open, it's out there. In the open.

Learned two things today.....

Constantly trolling a member in the Red Room (and indeed even in Media Central) using non-Red Room material and goading him until he fucks up is now okay in the rules. So if you have a Blue Room thread you may want to start erasing it. Or is this another one of those famous "Tamar: I don't like you so the rules don't apply to you" rulings?

And the second thing we learned is now Dayton's life is an open book like Garamet's life. Post anything and everything you want about him. You can't get in trouble for it because he screwed up. Let us know his whole history......

Ignore those multiple trolling threads constantly calling him our knowing that he's so fucked up as a poster that he can't not respond to them. Ignore those threads pounding and pounding on his teaching skills or lack of to goad him into releasing personal info. Ignore that posters took information, personal information not released on this board, and used it to goad an idiot into agreeing to a link of it. That poster is an idiot, an ass, a douche bag, a moron, and all other things and therefore rules do not apply to him.

Info posted in the Green Room, Media Central, etc has always been fair game under the rules. Nobody plays around with Dayton's diary thread, which is what is in the Blue Room. He's posted the rest outside though, including his surname, his wife's name, he job and his state of residence. Hell, he's ever done things like posting personal details about his mother on here.

I call bullshit. If it's something like the name of his children, medical info, financial info or so on then fair enough. But Dayton posted all the key information himself and then invited someone to post a link to it. He did so both knowing that there was no new information that wasn't already known here and in the hope that another member would fall on his sword in the process.

Dayton has benefited from the rules on many occasions, and has admitted as much. It simply isn't true to say that the rules are always ignored where he is concerned because people think he's an idiot.

2) His goading of Chad over the past 24 hours to post a link to what he thought was ban-able personal information, even later confirming that that's why he encouraged Chad to do it.

Plus, from his own mouth (read:typing) he has admitted many times, exclusive of these incidents, that he deliberately tries to antagonise people in order to coax them into falling on their swords so that he "wins".
