I wouldn't put much stock in that picture. The face is from a cast photo (below), and the body is Harrison Ford's from ESB, similar to the Battlefront image below.
Confirmation of what we knew from credible rumors, that Ron Howard shot a lot more of the movie than was said before. https://www.cbr.com/solo-reshoots-more-than-intended/ I've heard anywhere from 60 to 80 percent. We won't ever hear an official number. Maybe when they write "How Star Wars Conquered The Universe Volume 2".
Han isn't as cynical as in A New Hope, but then he becomes that cynical as a result of the events of this movie. So says Lawrence Kasdan. https://www.cbr.com/han-solo-star-wars-movie-details/
That is EXACTLY what I want to see. If you watch Solo and A New Hope back to back, you should see an arc.
When I saw THE LAST JEDI in the theatre this past Saturday, I saw a poster for the Han Solo movie. It said : SOLO A STAR WARS STORY, & a release date of May 25th 2018 indicated.
John Williams is going to write the theme! http://www.superherohype.com/news/409771-john-williams-to-write-the-theme-for-solo-a-star-wars-story
He reuses the Indiana Jones theme. Seriously, Disney's bringing in the best resource is a good sign. If the film is expected to bomb--as has been reported lately--they wouldn't bother throwing good money after bad.
I don't listen to "inside sources", on matters of film opinion. They were predicting doom for Wonder Woman, and that was great, and did great. People were acting like Suicide Squad was going to be a funeral, and while it was critically savaged, it over performed. I don't listen to that shit anymore. Just the facts, like who's working on it, how long they're shooting, when the trailer comes out, etc.
Lego spoilers time! The pics. https://imgur.com/a/E458t Character names from an insider. http://www.slashfilm.com/solo-a-star-wars-story-character-names-and-settings-revealed/ Looks like "Kira", who was supposed to be Rey, has been recycled and spelling changed to "Qi’Ra". And they're going to Mimban!! The planet from "Splinter Of The Mind's Eye"! (Confused silence) The first sequel to Star Wars! (Confused silence) It was written as a screenplay to be a cheaper sequel if SW flopped, but it was a hit, so they went ahead with ESB, and Splinter was adapted and put out as the first novel, so it was still the first thing that came out that continued the story. It introduced Kyber Crystals, and that's been put into "Rogue One", and now Mimban gets in through "Solo". They're recycling all the unused scraps for us hardcore geeks.
Clearer pics of the mini-figs (Lego people) https://www.comicbookmovie.com/sci-...-characters-creatures-droids-and-more-a156829
Aaanyhooo... Looks like the planets will be Corellia, Kessel, Mimban, and maybe Bespin. He's GOT to meet Jabba, so there'll probably be a quickie stop to Tatooine in there somewhere.
OMG THAT’S SO COOL. BESPIN!!! MAYBE BESPIN!!! I THINK I’LL SKIP WORK ON MONDAY AND SALIVATE OVER THE POSSIBILITIES!!!
Good point.... Well, like "spoiler man", on Reddit for TFA, we'll see how accurate this stuff ends up being.
Really like this edition of the TIE Notice the space between the Falcon's teeth is filled? Wonder why the design change?
What Sean said. The space is a trailer hitch, and the thing filling it is a cargo trailer. Bet he loses the trailer when he dumps his spice shipment in the incident that enrages Jabba.
I hope they don't try to tie everything about Han Solo's past together in this one movie. I'd be happy if there was no mention at all of Jabba the Hutt. In ANH, it seems like Solo's loss of Jabba's cargo is a recent thing--Han and Jabba appear to have their first conversation about it in the SE--so it shouldn't be something that goes back 10 or more years. I know they're going to do something with the Kessel Run, and there's a rumor that a certain armored bounty hunter is also in the film, but I kinda wish they'd leave these things for a follow-on film.
