How about "Mudd's Women", with full on frontal nudity?

frontal nudity can't save a bad story any more than more space battles can.

If you're wanting frontal nudity then there are half a million better places than in a Star Trek movie.

Very first episode of StarGate SG:1 had full frontal nudity (at the request of the network).

So the guy who refuses to see it scrapes up one pathetic negative review to bash a movie that a MAJORITY of critics and film goers like thoroughly enjoyed.

Talk about pissing in people's Corn Flakes.

I have never "refused to see it".

I just want to watch it as cheaply as possible.

Watch it. Don't watch it. It makes no difference. WE liked it anyway.

For that comparison to work, it'd have to be an Abrams Trek banner in my sig. Not that this has anything remotely to do with the quality of a movie or anything. :diacanu:

Like the LotR series? Which the MAJORITY of critics and film goers thoroughly enjoyed. Which no doubt also have negative reviews, even if not on the same level as negative reviews of "Into Dumbness-I mean Darkness". :diacanu:

Captain X, and/or Dayton3, have either of you caught STiD yet? And if you did, what did you think of it?

Dayton's waiting for it to play in the $1 theater in his home town. Unfortunately, the film is doing so well financially that it won't be shown in that theater for another few months.

Okay; and tell me to raise it somewhere else if needs be - but it seems to me that Dayton's behaviour in this and some other threads constitutes same.

I agree. Considering I received a warning for giving Dayton advice (when he specifically asked for it), I think a number of Dayton's post should be seen as trolling in that he is trying to get a flame in response to his outlandish statements.

It isn't an individual post, necessarily. It's a pattern of behaviour. He himself has announced his determination to try to coerce people into agreeing with him, by hook or by crook.

And this is coming from someone who didn't like into Darkness.

Yep, time for people to start reporting him though.

I wasn't aware that saying you hoped to save money and that you have standards was an "outlandish statement", and attempt to "provoke flames" or "trolling".

I guess we could go to the TrekBBS definition of trolling.

"Repeatedly posting your disagreement with what the vast majority of other posters believe".

That said, nothing I've been able to ferret out about Into Darkness from online sources or YouTube clips or reviews (favorable & unfavorable) or from the comments of people here lead me to believe the move is any good.

Oh it might be good by the hugely bad standards of Star Trek movies. I'm certain it easily beats out Nemesis, Insurrection, Generations, First Contact, Final Frontier, The Search For Spock probably.

But still not remotely good by reasonable standards. I could probably go through televised Star Trek and find 200 hours that were better.

People are enjoying the movie and have given it good reviews. You haven't seen the movie and keep saying how bad it is. How is that not repeatedly disagreeing with what other posters believe.

I've never seen Citizen Kane either but I know it is a great movie.

I've never seen Ishtar either but I know it is a terrible movie.

If you haven't seen them, then you "know" nothing of the kind. You have an opinion based on popular opinion.
