One never assumes someone is "sarcastic" when that someone says something like that. Saying, "I thought he was just being sarcastic" won't cut it in court when you're getting sued or at worst prosecuted because the idiot actually carried out his plan and killed himself.
Unless it is someone that is naive like RickDeckard. That is why I mentioned this guy wasn't raised very well by his parents. It appears they did not raise him to know that there are consequences for words and deeds. You'll get no argument from me on that point either. I'll take it a step further. The naive people like RickDeckart would claim that the prison authorities didn't do enough to protect this asshole if they did ignore the statement he made and he did end up killing himself. The authorities are going to be damned no matter what they do in the eyes of someone like RickDeckard.
The irony here is that if they left Manning with his clothes and he'd hung himself RickyRetardo would be blasting the US for not protecting him and preventing him from being able to do that while in custody The other lovely irony is how he'd be treated, if oh say he was a Venzuelan army guy who did this. The torture he'd be put through would make his stay in US jail like club med.
It's always funny in jail to watch inmates try to take their words back. There are things you don't say out in the open to an officer. And yep sure as hell if Manning had killed himself his lawyer and family would be hollering and suing.
I disagree. But that's the debate, regardless of your desire to pretend that something else is the subject.
Torture? Whatever......he's getting "tortured" like SPAM is a T-bone steak, mesquite grilled. Put him in the general population of any prison and see how well he fares. Would that be acceptable?
It would be acceptable to charge or release him. It would be "not torture" to remove him from solitary confinement, to allow him to exercise and to have proper access to reading and other materials.
^ Charges are pending. Under UCMJ, which he voluntarily agreed to (he was not drafted) this is a legal process. If he was removed from solitary he'd be beaten and/or killed in GP as happen to traitors. Solitary is used to keep him and others like him alive. You have decided that not being allowed to read is torture. Thd issue here is you think you can set the definitions and then complain.
That is one of a number of things which cumulatively amount to torture. If you are going to start lying about what I've said again, I will revert to my former policy of ignoring you.
Lying about what you said? Please do explain the post I referred to 463 and tell me where I lied about what you said. You ignore me because you can't explain your constant away that I call you on.
I've already quoted the lie, and I explained why it's false. If you had a good argument, you would not need to resort to such dishonesty.
^ So just denying reading is not enough to equal torture. Got it. What are those "other things" that bring it up to that level?
Of all the reasons for removing DADT, this is worse one I've ever heard and I'm all for getting rid of it. You guy's constant attempt to find a reason to stick up for this guy is amazing.
Reread my post. Not saying it's a reason to repeal DADT, but I'm saying it's good we're repealing it.
That would require he be placed in the general population. You do understand why he might not be allowed in the general population Dick?
Rick, why the big concern over this guy? Is he one of "yours?" Well he is "one of mine" and the line forms to the left for killing him. Here's how things work in my world: We expect other countries to spread our guarded information around - that's their job. But when one of our own does it with total disregard for the potentially deadly consequences, he becomes the enemy. If he robbed a bank, sold drugs, faked his own death for the insurance money, whatever....treat him like any other military criminal. But what he did violates every level of morality, honor, manhood, decency....those sort of things. I guess you had to be there.
I honestly do not follow your line of reasoning. Are you referring to the symbol or my liking Russian history? Personally, it has always been a dream of mine to learn Russian and visit there to do research into events of the late Cold War. Of course, my next overseas trip is going to be to the United Kingdom.
