Dammit, do you realize Google images has not ONE single image of Green Arrow slugging it out with The Question? I mean, it would be just the thing to represent a typical UA/Turk pissing match...and nothing. These are the things that rob me of sleep....
Long as I get to be The Question. He was voiced by Jeffrey Combs, and even Batman thought he was wound too tight. Green Arrow is a sneering leftist douche.
Gotcha. So you support extortion and conflict rather than objective negotiation in good faith? Oh teh Dramaz!!!Once again you show you have no idea by reducing the discussion specifically to Occupy and casting me as a participant in it. Of course, the only thing you've got is how it affects you and a blanket statement of how your want supercedes an actual right. The irony of you tossing around phrases like "self-entitled, attention-whoring little tantrum " is nom nom yummy. Seriously guy, you aren't the only person who's ever had a job. If you paid attention to the world around you, you would have fair and ample warning to avoid inconvenience. Take some responsibility for yourself. The spoiled children are the ones who think contentment and prosperity should be guaranteed at the expense of "someone else."

See what I mean about irony? Probably not.
Sounds exactly like the sort of "manifesto" the Guardian would promote. Ludicrous socialist utopia that would bankrupt any country insane enough to try out all these policies for a day.
You can (and will) spin it in whatever snide way makes you feel most clever, but what I support is free association. Maybe if I got fewer bitchy comments from you any time I criticise them, you wouldn't seem so closely associated. Oh, and these protesting douchenozzles have my best interests at heart, do they? They're not mainly interested in their desires and how it's someone else's job to provide for them? Right. My convenience is no less important than theirs. No reason at all why theirs should take precedence over mine when they could just stand on the fucking sidewalk. Does inconveniencing me somehow help deliver their message? No, they just think it gets them more attention. ENTITLED.FUCKING.CHILDREN. I see what your retarded ass thinks is ironic, but I'm not looking to anyone to guarantee my contentment or prosperity. And before you attempt this line of bullshit, NO. Expecting those assbags to refrain from actively interfering with my ability to pursue either is not the same as them demanding I actively provide it. Not the same thing at all, so don't even fucking try it.
Actually, yeah -- my life is about me. UA's is about UA. Yours is about you. On behalf of the real world, welcome.
Just because you and your little self-absorbed child heroes pretend other peoples' convenience doesn't exist does not give them unlimited license to impose on it. That's really cute, how you try this silly bullshit about me being self-absorbed when I'm the one who just wants to go about his own personal business without being unnecessarily and unjustifiably inconvenienced by the products of weak parenting and a coddling society. If not me, then what about the other assholes trying to get to work? Your Occutard buddies care about the "little guy" unless the little guy wants them to get the fuck out of the way so he can earn a paycheck. They're petulant little bullshitters, and you lap it up eagerly.
Wake me up when you can post even a 1-sentence response without resorting to some bitchy little strawman, asswipe.
Actually, you read them through your own set of petty goggles. Can you actually respond to a point or will this simply continue with you leveling more lies? Face it. You support bullying and theft by those in control because you're essentially a cowardly sack of shit.
You don't raise "points". You snivel about the protected "free speech" of obstruction and vandalism, about the false entitlement to a decent living and the imaginarily "inherent" value of your labor. 1) Go fuck yourself. 2) I don't support "bullying and theft" ( ) , but that doesn't mean I'm going to join in with your gleefully slobbering on the nutsack of every punk college kid who throws a tantrum about having to work for a living and pay his own way. Those are not my only options, and you neither get to impose choices on me or tell me what those choices represent.
OK, let's take a look: Nope, can't support that. The private sector has to continue to be profit driven, however it is up to the government to put regulations and practices in place to protect the environment, promote job creation, and provide a social safety net. I'm behind UHC because it has shown it can be a far more efficient system than we have now, and a healthy population benefits everyone. However, it should be to a certain standard, and allow privatized plans to supplement those for those indviduals that want it. That would also help address wage stagnation. Free higher education - I'd probably subsidize it more than now. Crippling debt upon graduation is a huge problem in the US, and it is going to drive down education levels. We've seen places like Canada and the Scandinavian countries provide significant incentives for education, but that creates more productive citizens and increases the revenues of the economy. This is more important than ever due to globalization and the dissipation of blue collar middle class jobs. Universal housing? Not behind that one. There's a hell of a good incentive to go to work right there. Nope. Define 'children's rights.' I'm not behind the right to vote. There should be some social assistance for childcare in some instances, but universal? No. You do have a choice whether or not you have children. I'm OK with the current 401K and social security programs in the US. I'd be OK with limited universal sick leave policies - say 5 days a year. Holiday pay - nah. No fucking way. That's the problem with communism, no incentive to work. Absolutely. While you are dreaming, you should ask for a pony. Stupid, and not scientifically sound. Oppose this one. Limited to individual governments discretion and the policies they support. Environmental protections are necessary, a world environment police is not, and would unavoidably be compromised for political gain. Define 'massive.' We should definitely be working for alternate fuel sources, but fossil fuels will be part of the mix for centuries to come. Nope. No green police.
1)No, You. 2)Again with the false representations. You've stated in this thread that those not in power should have no means of redressing grievances unless those in power will it. Further, you say that they shouldn't be allowed to protest that, even if they follow civic guidelines. How would you define yourself? Boot licking fascist?
Nobody goes into business to serve "the economy" or fight stratifying incomes, and neither should be imposed as a mandate. No, what I said was that both parties must agree to negotiate or submit for arbitration. You just don't like the fact that such a requirement doesn't guarantee you anything you wish. No, what I said was they can protest on the fucking sidewalk, without blocking any entrances or roadways. As far as I'm concerned, you can protest any subject you want until you're blue in the face, so long as you exercise a little common fucking courtesy while you do it. My convenience is no less important than some self-entitled protestor douchenozzle. A person who respects individual rights, even when it doesn't benefit me personally to do so, because I recognize the fact that life is not fair and society isn't my mommy.
Okay I can get on board with this statement. Nothing wrong with a clear disclaimer. Yet these points/demands gave me pause - Free and universal access to health care Free education from primary school through higher education Free housing for all human beings Free childcare for everyone How are any of these things free?
Oh, apologies, I didn't realize Uncle Turkey and Space Albert were in the midst of a feud. I suspect a nub shortage is to blame.
I'm impressed. To call anyone a self-important selfish fucking child while defending the Occutards and not showing the slightest awareness of the hypocrisy of that statement... That's just... impressive.
That's where the derailment happens... I'm not necessarily defending Occupy, but the right to peaceful assembly, specifically if there's a permit for the event and some attempt at communication to those affected. Occupy, Tea Party, Delivery Trucks, hell-Monster Trucks... UA won't have any of that if it means he has to park a block away the night before. So yeah, spoiled child.
Who, between myself and your Occutard butt-buddies, goes to work, pays his taxes, respects private property and has some concept of common fucking courtesy? Right. It's not me who has some growing up to do. It's the ones who think they're inherently owed everything they need or want, and don't care who they have to fuck over to get it.
err, presuming you do as well, then both. much as it may irk you, I earn my living too. Granted, it's tax free, but I'd still be in a low tax threshold anyways. but don't let that get in the way of your misrepresentations. I say that free speech and assembly belong to everyone, you try to paint it partisan to mask your self interest.
Maybe if your standard of proof is "Whatever Spacetard's diseased little hindbrain comes up with to make him feel better about his own worthless ass." Yeah, and you also try to paint blocking roadways and obstructing access to private property as innocent free speech, so your word is worth dog shit.
Nope, that'd be you setting your own conditions... again. You really can't latch on to this "reality" thing, can you? Everything that doesn't fit your wants is defined by your minuscule perceptions, and further explanations be damned. You really don't have anything to say, do you? Just a bit of empty posturing for the peanut gallery. I suppose that's all I should expect from some PBR swilling, kife smoking, hipster faggot.
