That's huge in a couple of ways. One, it shows they don't have the wherewithal to defend such places. Two, it means experienced officers will be replaced with less-experienced ones and the ineptitude will escalate.

The Russians are now caught in a really ugly positive feedback loop: the worse it gets, the worse it gets.

There's only one solution to this: Moar vodka.

Oh wait. That'll only make it worse for the Russians.
I stand by my solution! :diacanu:

So the strike on the command center killed 2 Russian generals per Ukraine Intelligence. If true, that would put the total up to 10. Remarkable.

So, generally speaking, the Russian army is showing a serious lack of general leadership :chris:

    Now, it gets interesting.

The argument as to why NATO can't send the Ukrainians a lot of Western gear is that they're unfamiliar with how to use it (or maintain it), and training them would take too long. Israeli soldiers are certainly familiar with NATO gear...

IDF veterans with Ukrainian roots, I guess. Officially, they are probably on holiday in the homeland of their parents and grandparents.

Russia’s bad luck with fires just keep piling up. This time two oil storage facilities and at the same time. What are the odds?

Huh. Who knew that Blade Runner had the right vision of the future, they just got the location and the existence of flying cars wrong?

Can't find the "salute" smiley... but anyway....the momentum really seems to be going UKR's way. The main thought I have is that if the Ukrainian forces hadn't shown so much courage and discipline there's no way he would have done that. Hopefully he can supplement and complement what seems to be extremely competent leadership.

The Skif is the export version of the Stugna (these were built for a UAE contract thus the Arabic).

You gotta think once Russia is repelled and things calm down Ukraine will take a sizable chunk out of Russia’s arms exports. Most likely in modern factories paid for with seized Russian assets.

I’m guessing the shakeyness between shots is an Assistant Gunner moving the launcher. Not a job I’d love to have but bad respect.
