*Ukrainian Military Intelligence office - phone rings, Colonel Tkachuk answers it*

    Col. Tkachuk: "Алло?"

    Bob: "Colonel? It's Bob."

Col. Tkachuk: "Bob! My dear friend! How is weather in Virginia today?"

Bob: "A bit rainy, Colonel. Listen, I've got some information for you."

    Col. Tkachuk: "Yes?"

Bob: "A little bird told us the Russians are having a get-together: General Chlenov of the 23rd Army Corps is visiting with two regimental tank commanders in Novodmytrivka today at 15:00."

Col. Tkachuk: "Your little bird says very interesting things!"

Bob: "if you'd like to pay your respects, the address is 47.36 degrees north, 33.34 degrees east."

Col. Tkachuk: "47.36...and...33.34. Got it. I will make sure to give the general your warmest regards."

The Ukrainian army is good, but I don't think they have the have the blue water navy to hit the mid-North Atlantic. :P

I knew someone would look it up! It's actually an authentic location but, of course, I should've said EAST and not WEST.

Is Brazil (Bolsonaro no less!) the first BRICS to break with Russia?

    This seems like a BFD.

"Switzerland vetoes German request to re-export Gepard ammunitions to Ukraine. According to Swiss media SRF, Switzerland said its neutrality does not permit providing arms for use in conflict zones, and Gepard tank’s ammunition was originally made in Switzerland."

    Yeah... :brood::bang:

Many thanks to Brazil for stepping in.

Reminds me of the folks who were freaked out after 9/11 about all the Stinger missiles the US had given to Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion. It was pointed out that Stingers were rather delicate and that if there were any left in Afghanistan, they probably wouldn't be at all useful.

    Huh.

So it turns out punishing a country who has been neutral for being neutral (but not able to afford to pay for their gas in rubles) is a bad idea. Especially if they have a lot of Warsaw Pact weapon systems.

Oh, and that's CPAC as in Canadian Public Access TV, a non-partisan news agencies run in conjuncture with most of Canada's cable TV providers, not that other fascist CPAC that travelled to Hungary to get tips on how to dicatator.

Kremlin TV hosts pushing the narrative that it's OK if Putin is "forced" to use nukes because "we all die eventually" and "at least we'll go to Heaven, whilst they'll just croak".

This clusterfuck of a campaign is often compared to "The Winter War" with Finland. However, Russia was still able to tear off a piece of Finland after nearly drowning the whole damn country in blood. This "special military operation" seemingly could end up as an outright defeat for Putin and Russia. How the hell Putin is going to explain this away is going to be well worth watching if that happens.

I went and looked and there are basically no ethnic Finns left in Karelia. However I don’t think it a coincidence that the president of Georgia was in DC yesterday. I wouldn’t be surprised if when this is all over not only is Ukraine back to pre-2014 borders but Georgia has also gone back to pre-2008 ones.
