As for defamation, it might be hard to prove that Biden has standing, as I don't know that many of the lies specifically say he planned or knew about the alleged fraud. But several others could have a case against the Republicans supporting the various false allegations.

agree! Biden would have the same right. Stacey Abrams never conceded. But she stayed in the political game and now seems more fired up than ever. Trump being Trump he may just be planning a 2024 comeback, but I think he's too old. Plenty of young talent waiting in the Republican wings IMHO.

I personally do not believe Biden would be involved in any fraud. He would have to be an absolute idiot to not distance himself from any talk of fraud. He's been in the game for many decades so I'm sure he has some street smarts. Then again if the Hunter Biden investigation gets deep he might be implicated in China and other shenanigans but that's another issue entirely.

@oldfella1962 appears to be convinced that there has been fraud, despite all of these judges throwing out the accusations and saying no evidence has been provided.

Of course Trump doesn't need to provide us internet dwellers the evidence to pick over but you would think that it might be quite useful to provide something/anything to all of these court cases. I really don't see how @Paladin and @oldfella1962 can say with a straight face that their man has a right to question the results without putting up any evidence. No evidence is effectively just baseless mud slinging designed to rile up the electorate and undermine US democracy.

They have told him that because they won't make enough money from spending that Biden should not do any debt forgiveness. I am not sure how they figured out people drowning in student loan debt would not spend more if some of that debt was forgiven. Seeing as how most people live paycheck to paycheck and need to get things I would figure this would increase spending over all, but that might give poor people things and then the rich bankers would not be able to piss on them.

Oh, and before anyone complains, my student loan debt was paid off by family savings long ago. I think it is a wonderful idea that would free up more money from a huge portion of consumers to spend in the economy which would actually be a huge boon to the banks. However, it would also have the effect of bringing people a little closer to the standard the rich are living and that makes rich people sad.

Regardless of the end result or political leanings, think about this situation (or a similar one) like this:
what if there is evidence but nobody takes the time to seriously investigate said evidence? In other words once the pattern is established that "some evidence is weak, therefore all future evidence is more of the same" it's game over. Kind of like "the boy who cried wolf" so to speak. But considering time is of the essence of course the case was a thrown together unorganized mess. Imagine if you got in serious, complicated trouble for whatever reason and your trial date was moved up from two months away to RIGHT NOW! Your lawyer would laughed out of court.

Yes there was cheating and fraud like in any and every election. The bigger the election, the more cases of shenanigans, that's basic math. Regardless it wasn't enough to overturn the election results.
That said if I could wave a magic wand and have a complete election "do-over" and everyone agreed that it was a good idea would I? No way! Trump lost, but other than that the election results were great for Republicans. One monkey don't stop the show!

I'm sure it sucks for Trump right now, but how he handles this loss is really up to him. He can learn from the loss, or let the loss define/defeat him. He's a big boy (in theory) so I don't have much pity for him. He was the president of the greatest country on earth and now Biden (or Harris) will be the president of the greatest country on earth. If our political system continues more or less intact and recognizable in the future (no guarantees) the office of the presidency won't bring us down because of checks & balances.

in fairness to Biden (or any politician no matter their motivations) this is why "election promises" or even goals rarely work out. Nothing is simple and the game has a lot of players involved all with their own motivations and interests.

He did say "usually" which implies there are exceptions. And in my experience that tracks. Especially when the conservative has no emotional investment in the other person in question (relative, friend, co-worker sometimes)
