I really liked this movie. The cinematography was incredible. The tone was very different from other Batman movies, it was essentially a serial killer mystery thriller. I got real flashed of Zodiac, Se7en, and the Saw movies.

I really liked the 1989 Batman and The Dark Knight. I feel like all three are great for very different reasons. 1989 Batman balances the gritty darkness and comedic campiness. The Dark Knight has one of the best performances ever put to film with Heath Ledger, but also has a great story and the grittiness. The Batman just says fuck it, let's make an almost R-rated Batman movie with a great serial killer thriller plot.
