Yeah, all the other rooms are joinable for good reasons, while I have never posted in Camp Wordforge I can't see any good reason to hide it away other than people not wanting to see it exists, an insular attitude that is the exact opposite of what WF stands for.

It's had about six topics with new posts in the last week. One would have to go out of their way to find posts from Camp Wordforge in the New Posts list, considering there are usually about 800 new posts per day.

I personally don't think it's active enough to warrant an entire forum, but it's still more active than the Iron Room and the Gold Room.

No no, it's a win win. The gun jocks will like their cozy club and the rest of us don't have to have our delicate sensibilities assaulted with postings like "field strip this". God knows how many times I clicked on it expecting visual pleasures only to get a whiff of gun oil up both nostrils.

Y'know, while I could care one way or another about a Brit forum, it might be fun to have a British Day (or week or whatever) if the people that usually do the heavy lifting around here were up for it.

What I mean is if Scorp or Nick or someone whipped up a British skin for the board, and one of the admins used the evil word switch function to fuck up the spelling of a lot of words--tyres, colour, cookies become biscuits, etc.

Stating the obvious, that's all. I'm quite sorry you feel attacked - even tho I could mold it into an admission of guilt.

Maybe El Chup could be proactive and recruit more British posters?

Also, I don't see any need for Camp Wordforge to be hidden. It's fine the way it is - separate but equal.

I'm sorry, but I no longer have or can spend nearly as much time on the internet as you. Therefore, when and how do you propose I carry out this recruitment drive?

I am now fully and steadfastly against this abomination that would be called The Brit Room.

Well, I'd try and make the effort if we had one, but none of the other subforum are updated daily, so it should be relatively easy.

There is nothing stopping British folks from starting threads on anything they choose in the exsisting forums...in fact I am certain most of us would be fascinated to read about your local doings.

There is no real reason for a BritForge, nor is there really enough of a population to support it at this time.

Perhaps if things change in the future we can revisit this idea, for now...
