Oh yeah, we were all missing Bill Maher do his whining at the kids on the lawn. That was fixing the world. Rush Limbaug's still oozing democrat anal wart needs to be making a show like we need coal rolling electric cars.

Couldn't Bill the boomer CHUD just retire?

I don't get it. If I'm Drew Barrymore, a powerful, recognizable, and rich star, I tell the network/production company to go fuck themselves when they say the show has to come back. Then I do a lucrative speaking tour to pay my staff and start another show when the strike's over.

Few months back, Comet TV played "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death".
Bill Maher's one "big" movie before he became "Politically Incorrect" guy.
He plays an anti-feminist douche-nozzle version of Indiana Jones.
I was like "damn, he's turned into this character".
Then I shook myself, and said "WTF am I saying? He's always been this character!!".
We just all deluded ourselves it was a Peter Griffin, Quagmire, "I'm glad I don't know a guy like that" character.
    No, it's him.
Watch that movie sometime, the red flags were there, and our childhood/tweenage selves were naïve little nitwits.

The largest salary cost per episode would be that of the hosts. Whatever the cost for the crew would be less than the cost of things like electricity, and equipment rentals for the episodes. Not to mention that for Drew’s show, there’s ad revenue for each episode, regardless of its a new episode or a repeat.

Both Maher and Barrymore have investments that pay them large amounts of money no matter what.

I don't watch either of them. Do they employ striking employees?

How do you feel about news broadcasts?

I think it was maher who clued me in on the russel brand bullshit. There is just something a bit too smug and full of shit. It is funny how there is this group of guys who follows that shit around to the left and the right. They are really their own group.

If they paid above the contract demands, which I am not saying they are, would they be ok with them continuing the show? If you really wanted to do the show to help the workers and keep it going dump some money into the support people and keep doing your show.

You look bad when you don't do that.

    Yes.

Different contracts, different rules. They strike, I support them. Pretty simple.

He's a scab. He doesn't just employ striking employees, he is one.

“As a W.G.A. member, Bill Maher is obligated to follow the strike rules and not perform any writing services,” the guild said. “It is difficult to imagine how ‘Real Time’ can go forward without a violation of W.G.A. strike rules taking place.”

The Real Time writers drained little pieces of their souls into Real Time.
Therefore an attack on their money is an attack on their person.
Therefore, they're well within their rights to kill scabs.
    Up to and including Maher.
This logic is approved by UA.
