And the rioters could have avoided the whole thing by staying home instead of going out for a rousing evening of wrecking shit and hurting people, but for some reason they enjoy a higher perceived baseline level of moral superiority.

If we had adequate mental health care for poor people this might not have happened. I'm willing to consider whether he may have been overcharged, but that doesn't make him a victim. Staying home would have been a better option. The cops could have told him to GTFO instead of welcoming him and that might have saved two lives. Those actions are not on trial. All the jury can do is try to render a verdict on what's in front of them.

Something like the chamber of commerce deciding to make a law that might make it so the cops could just arrest all the gun weilding gang members, and maybe firing the proud boys in their police department who allowed all of this to happen by inviting their terrorist gang members to police the streets with their assault rifles? because if they haven't done that yet I cannot feel sorry for them when the same shit happens when kyle gets off.

If the rioting was such a problem it seems a little silly the business owners in the chamber of commerce that is so important to elections have done absolutely nothing to fix the problem of gang wars on their streets. =It seems to me that hunting on suburban and city streets is not a thing you want so perhaps not allowing the excuse for gang members to carry guns would be a thing you might want to have the legislature correct, and carrying a gun might want to be something you arrest people for in town. My thought is not having a gun to pump up your chicken shit ass might discourabge the coward boys from coming to town and make your town a bit better.

The fact that jury is taking so long to deliberate has to be concerning to them. It means it isn't the slam-dunk they were hoping for.

The prosecution apparently withheld some high-resolution drone footage, so the defense may have good grounds for either a mistrial or an appeal if there's a conviction.

I'd think hard about asking for a mistrial if I were the defense. They're unlikely to face another so inept prosecution if there's a second trial.

I guess the real question is whether or not MTG still has the child safety seat for Matt Gaetz's dates still on her bus, or will she have to buy a new one for wittle kyle.

They're specifically asking for a mistrial with prejudice so there wouldn't be another trial at all.

That'd be a huge win. But I don't think the judge will do that.

There's been some bullshit on the defense as well. The whole thing is a shit show. Don't be so quick to blame the prosecution if the outcome doesn't go your way.

I feel like he might if it turns out his adopted grandbaby is about to go to jail. Does he have to rule on it before the jury returns with a verdict, or can he wait and use that option to annul their decision if they decide Rittenhouse is guilty?
