I'll toss in Priyanka Chopra's cover of "I Can't Make You Love Me" before she takes over the US music industry.



I don't know if she could make me love her, but I'd be willing to let her try as hard as she wants.

To be honest - I cannot tell this woman apart from any of the other women (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Beyonce, etc.etc.) singing today. Could be my hearing loss, could be the production style, or whatever - but I couldn't pick her out from the crowd of other female singers today.

She sang the NFL "In my City" song that they ran the previous two years before the games.





There are a lot of top people behind her, including Red One and Pitbull, and everyone wants to work with her. She's made sixty or seventy movies and won over 90 awards for acting. Now she's starting to win American awards and they've picked her as a presenter for the People's Choice awards, the SAG awards, and the Oscars - even though she's never made an American movie! She has almost as many Twitter followers as Beyonce and the West has hardly even seen her yet. There's about a billion or two people elsewhere who know her name, though.

The weird thing is that even though every Bollywood movie is full of huge singing numbers, she's perhaps the first Bollywood actor who can actually sing. They've always just hired singers to sing the songs in the movie and then had the actors lip sync. They even do that in Priyanka Chopra movies - even though she sings better than the singers they overdub her with.

She's also Miss World 2000 and smarter than fuck. Both her parents were military doctors and she writes a column on serious social issues in India. She was 17 and studying to be an engineer when her mom secretly sent her photo to the Miss India pageant.

Here's a wonderful interview with her. She has no trouble talking about race, sex, culture, or anything else. Extremely level headed.



I've become devoted to her health and fitness program. Primarily, avoid exercise like the plague and try to eat immense amounts of pizza, wings, cheeseburgers, tacos, and steak, steak, steak. I really think that could catch on in America, and hell, if it gives you a Miss World body, why not? She also has no time for makeup and such. It takes her 30 minutes in the morning to get dressed and go to a shoot.

That song is much better when you don't know what they hell they're saying.

I'm going to check out more of Hanni El Khatib! If that's his real name..... and if he's not an ISIS agent and the songs (when played backwards) aren't encoded messages that will make me wake up in the middle of the night and start cooking up explosives. I hate when that happens!

I always say - if you are going to cover a song..........KILL IT! If you can't make the shot, don't take the shot as we say in bow hunting. But if you know you can, take it! This is totally crushing the original:
