I’m talking about the document that absolutely exists that is not classified that congress is asking for. Why won’t they release it? Sources and methods is a lame excuse.

Let’s have that discussion in a different thread, with only well-documented facts, and not crazy conspiracy theories. There’s enough evidence to call for an upending of that agency, without resorting to such nonsense.

And I’m not talking about the average Joes and Jills at the FBI that are just doing their jobs, I’m talking about the top brass that are not trustworthy.

I’ve been thinking of starting a thread about that subject for some time now and you’re probably right, but I hesitated because some people seemed willing to give the FBI a pass no matter what.

Again, @Ancalagon , why is the FBI stonewalling congress?

If the document is not classified then why can’t the FBI release it? And I don’t care what you think about Harley’s actions during January 6th. Has nothing to do with the question.

Yes, asked and answered. Undoubtedly source and methods, and they clearly stated it would put the source in danger.

What's more, a 1023 is an unverified report by a source. In this case, that a tape exists that show Biden took money. Problem, they are on record saying they can't confirm if that tape even exists.

So should we out a source and put them in danger over an assertion that has no evidence behind it?

    Sure, if it helps Republicans.

This is entirely political and easily seen through. No, the Republican head of the FBI is not protecting the Democratic President.

When Grassley went on the senate floor, Trump was freshly indicted. Served as nothing more than a distraction and something that their stupid base would lap up to help minimize the impact of Trump's serious crimes

Also the fact that this "tip" came out in 2020 and hasn't been used yet by the Republican tells you all you need to know

Let's be clear ... this is not about responsible accountability and oversight. This is about Republicans wanting the ability to unilaterally shut down any investigations into other Republicans who break the law. This is about giving all Republicans total immunity from facing consequences when they commit crimes.

And before you reach into the usual Playbook of Intellectually Dishonest Arguments and try to bothsides this, let me point out that the president's son has been under investigation by the DOJ for some time now and he has thrown not one tantrum, nobody in the U.S. attorney's office overseeing the case has been fired, and no congressional Democrats are shrieking their heads off demanding that the office be "defunded."

Hunter Biden Got Special Treatment — Especially Harsh

Tuesday’s announcement that Hunter Biden, the president’s son, agreed to plead guilty to federal tax and firearm crimes drew widespread criticism from Republicans, who slammed it as a “sweetheart deal.” Actually, Biden was treated harshly and — based on what we know publicly — received more severe treatment than a typical defendant.

The announcement of the charges by United States Attorney for Delaware David Weiss, a Trump appointee, should have been cause for celebration for anyone who believes in the rule of law. After all, although our system is imperfect, the fact that the son of the sitting president was investigated, prosecuted and convicted by the Justice Department demonstrates that no one is above the law.

Yet Republicans recoiled at the announcement, perhaps because Hunter Biden was accused in right-wing publications of everything from corruption to human trafficking, yet was only charged with two misdemeanor tax counts of failure to pay income tax and one count of possessing a firearm while a user of and addicted to a controlled substance.

You don’t have to be a lawyer to figure out that these are hardly the crimes of the century. Many critics have pointed out that Biden will almost certainly not receive prison time as a result of these charges, which is true. But while we don’t know what else he might have done — and as Weiss noted, the “investigation is ongoing” — if this is the extent of Biden’s wrongdoing, he has been treated much more harshly than the typical defendant.

I listen to a number of legal podcasts that all have either high-powered lawyers as hosts, or frequent guests. All of them have said that they were completely unfamiliar with the laws Hunter was prosecuted under or had only heard of a case or two being prosecuted under those laws.

The shit about Hunter buying a gun while routinely smoking weed (if not crack and who knows what else) and lying on the form? In the mid-90s, I worked with a gun who loved guns and weed. Not only did he laugh about such forms, but he would positively collapse in hysterics when he recounted how a friend of his admitted on the form that he smoked weed and then was denied being able to buy a gun. And really, regardless of what you might think about drugs or guns, you have to admit that the question is pretty stupid. I mean, we wouldn't deny someone the right to buy a car because they admitted that they liked to drink alcohol. Doesn't matter if they're someone responsible enough to know when they've had too much and shouldn't drive, or if they're a raging alcoholic who is only able to keep a driver's license due to luck, we don't deny them the ability to buy a car because they use alcohol or whatever, the same ought to be true of guns as well.

So that whistleblower they were having problems finding.. has been indicted for working as an unregistered foreign agent for both China and Iran.

Why did they have problems finding him? He had already been arrested and made bail in Cypress and has disappeared.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...-gal-luft-criminal-charges-iran-b2372862.html

How much you want to bet unlike the Republican farce investigation against the Russian investigation they have the proof to make these charges stick?

US Attorney for the Southern District of New York Damian Williams said in a statement that Mr Luft “engaged in multiple, serious criminal schemes”.

“He subverted foreign agent registration laws in the United States to seek to promote Chinese policies by acting through a former high-ranking U.S. Government official; he acted as a broker in deals for dangerous weapons and Iranian oil; and he told multiple lies about his crimes to law enforcement,” Mr Williams said.

“As the charges unsealed today reflect, our Office will continue to work vigorously with our law enforcement partners to detect and hold accountable those who surreptitiously attempt to perpetrate malign foreign influence campaigns here in the United States”.

For all the people, I do not know and this is a fucking guess.

Old people his age wear compression socks. This is especially common with diabetics. Fluids build up in the ankles and feet without them and you have to sit with your feet up to help drain. This happens when you walk a lot in uncushioned shoes because of impact damage. Lots of those socks are skin colored like thick old ladies stockings. They also go up to the knees and you would not wear black socks over them because they would not stay up well.

Biden may just not be wearing socks. It would not look wrong without him wearing socks. Old dudes do this all the time with sneakers because it looks like they are not wearing socks, and compression socks are a way to indicate you are old, and bare ankles give the illusion you do not have to wear diabetic socks and your health is better. They also cover up flabby ankles, and old age spots, along with diabetic troubles with your feet.

I will go twice as far with this because no person his age wears a suit jacket and dress pants with wally world slip on wannabe sneakers. That is a desperate attempt to look like a younger person by pretending to be casual.

Given his age I would say they are compression socks which would not be odd. It is a look that looks like you are younger and not suffering from old age problems. Look at me I am showing my ankles like a young man and not an old guy with shitty feet and ankles. What fucking head of state ditches the tie, only unbuttons the top button on his dress shirt, buttons up his suit jacket, and wears a 7 dollar pair of walmart slip on wannabe sneakers without socks? That is so pathetically try hard. Did his wife die because no woman would have let her husband walk out of the house like that to meat up with dress uniform generals.

Someone should be asking what the fuck happened to Jill. Because she is probably buried with that miscaivage woman.
