Alan Wesselberg is no longer being represented by Trump corporation attorneys. He's in jail right now for taking the fall for Trump's fraud schemes.

If the mob no longer represents you, more often than not it means you've flipped. Let's hope.

Also of note the NY grand jury is taking a month off. This has been previously scheduled. While it's possible they've already voted to indict and the DA is slow walking the paper work in order to have the best timing, it may also mean that we have to wait a month before there's any more progress.

Of course, it's possible that the two items are related - that Wesselberg might be providing evidence for Bragg for the Grand Jury. Curiouser and curiouser.

I also wonder if Bragg is just waiting for someone else to go first. His case is small potatoes compared to the others, so maybe he wants to wait and pile on instead of setting himself up as a punching bag for the right wing echo chamber.

We'll see if Atlanta even goes forward. They are positioned to remove the DA there because Republicans are the best there is at corruption.

There's talk that Bragg may be threatening Weisselberg with new charges while he's in Rikers, which could be the cause for him flipping. :corn:

Yeah, Yahoo had a piece that claimed three corroborating witnesses that they are pressuring him on insurance fraud charges. And there's still the possibility that they could prosecute his son for money laundering through the Trump ice rink.

Supposedly the FBI got their hands on the Trump company books that he was in charge of, and if so there's no doubt a litany of possible charges they could throw at him.

Yep, felony indictment under a sealed affidavit. We won't know the specific charges until the formal announcement.

First Ex President to face criminal charges
(Should have been Nixon, but Ford made that impossible)
Better hope he's convicted. Anything less makes it look like a witch hunt and will garner sympathy.

Depends on what else is going on. He's committed multiple felonies and several of them are coming down the pike on him. This isn't 'Clinton got a blow job' territory. He's almost certainly going to be fighting multiple criminal charges for the next few years.

The end of that is the meaningful part - he's saying he won't extradite. We'll see how that works out, as he literally doesn't have any legal power to stop it. May just be grist for the base. Certainly he wants to be part of the conversation, getting some of the news cycle from the indictment.

Another thing - what is the Secret Services responsibility in this situation? What if Trump refuses to come in? His lawyers stated he would, but the narcissist may refuse.

Lanny Davis, Michael Cohen's attorney, has stated that 'you will really be surprised at the number of felony charges covered by this single indictment.' I hope I'm absolutely flabbergasted. :D

John Miller, CNN's Chief Legal Analyst, is saying that according to his sources the indictment includes 34 charges of falsifying business records. That's almost certainly more than just the hush money case if true.

Though since an independent judiciary is one of the biggest threats to the far right's agenda, he could use it as a launching point for some legislative effort to give himself the power to remove and replace judges at will.

During the last few days whilst I was in New York there was a very noticeable presence of NYPD around Times Square. I don’t have any frame of reference, but I suspect there may be some connection to Drumpf…. :spock:
