Different jurisdictions. The dude's committed so many crimes in so many different places that it was just a question of which prosecutor wrapped up their investigation first.

Prosecutorial discretion doesn't work that way.

The NY DA is pushing a case that most experts think is weak.

Why did he go there? Smells political.

Who would those prosecutors be? The ones who quit because they said Bragg wasn’t going to bring the case?

They’ve been trying to get Trump since he announced he was running back in 2015. This is a political stunt just like the Mara Lago raid. They don’t want Biden to have to go up against Trump in 2024.

trump himself onstage at the Republican convention stated he bribed everyone on that stage.

If that's not a reason to start an investigation, I don't know what is.

I'm honestly flabbergasted he wasn't arrested right then and there and that no one even speaks of it right now.

Trump says a lot of stupid shit that isn’t true. You’d have police working nonstop if you had to investigate every stupid thing he says.

No it doesn’t because it’s not evidence of a crime and it’s not enough to warrant an investigation.

Republicans were out for Clinton and Obama from the very beginning. They tried to impeach Clinton over a blowjob and they never even tried to work with Obama his entire eight years in office. That's been politics in America for as long as I can remember. It's Trump's own fault for giving the left so much ammunition to work with.

I don't think Biden is worried about Donald Trump. Biden already beat him by a very healthy margin. It's clear from where the left has been slinging their arrows as of late who they really fear in 2024.

He gets a fair trial like everyone else. But it's not the prosecutor's job to go easy on people that have repeated acts of criminality.

As I said, you go after him for every law he broke. That's their job, isn't it?

At the time you said the raid was justified, that what Trump did was stupid, morally wrong, and illegal, it doesn’t appear that the search was politically motivated, and the FBI treated him fairly.

    What's changed?

This goes to the much larger problem. Taking him down for this leaves the mass of corruption uncharged because the powers that be want to remain above the law.

One thing Trump is not wrong about is he is singled out among the elite corrupt criminals getting away with these crimes. He is wrong that we should let him get away with it bnecause we let everyone else get away with it. The law does not work that way and it does not invalidate things because others were not chaged. He is also not some lone witch in the middle of some normies. He is his own version of witch in a community of witch covens being persecuted because he fell out of favior with the community of corrupt elites of those covens.

Maybe there is some hope that this hole will be the break in the damn that is preventing other indictments, but there is a clear reality the media and elites still think all ex-presidents and most federal politicians are above the law until permission is given to indict and charge them by the people in charge. It is clear republican elites have finally had enough and have given their bipartisan support to this prosecution.

Best part about this is we will find out all the dirt trump has on the dem and rep power structure as he tries to take everyone down with him. They better hope the feds got all the evidence when they raided his home.

The case was already made on Cohen and if he was guilty sop was trump. This prosecution should have happened 2 years ago, and if it wasn't for his presidency it should have happened 6 years ago.

The only thing that has changed is the republicans have found the courage to turn against trump and authorise an indictment. They have Desantis to replace Trump, and now they need to remove Trump through prosecution because DeStupid could not get over the Trump lump. I doubt we would have even seen this if DeStupid could have pulled ahead in the polls.

This is the elites getting rid of Trump. This is a weaksauce step that is going to have Trump going nuclear on the establishment on both sides. Trump is going top fight dirty and use every bit of information he gathered while president. I do not think it will take anyone down because they still have control of the courts, and the voters have been beaten down so they will never ever vote against the corrupt elites. However, he will do everything he can to save his ass. He just finally became more of a problem than an asset to the republican party.

I am now wondering what they will do to shut him up when the gag order hits telling him not to discuss the case. There is no chance in hell you will shut him up outside of a jail cell in solitary without phone access. Even then you will have to jail his surrogates because he will have them leaking whatever they can. He is going to dox every member of the jury and tamper with them in every way he possibly can. You could sequester them on the moon and Elon will fly Trump goons there on his dickship to buy them off or threaten their lives.

The GOP elites authorized an indictment?

    That's crazy talk.

At least his lawyer knows enough to not piss off the judge BEFORE the proceedings, even if it does mean undercutting his client's rhetoric:

I initially suspected that the raid had to do with the midterms. I was then convinced that maybe it was legit so I changed my mind. Then the midterms came and went and we found out that Joe Biden also had taken classified documents as well and the same clowns (not naming names) who berated Trump for doing the same thing we’re giving Biden a pass. Add in the fact that nothing has come of it and it became clear that it was all just a shell game. I also remember how Nancy Pelosi bragged about how all you have to do is throw out an accusation and it’ll make the news rounds before it’s even fact checked and Twitter morons (again, not naming names) will repeat it. So even if it’s not true, doesn’t matter, it’s already out there. On top of all of that, this prosecutor ran on locking Trump up so forgive me if I’m skeptical about the whole thing.

How is appointing a special prosecutor "giving Biden a pass"? Especially when the case involving Mike Pence, which is far more similar to Biden's than Trump's is, didn't get the same measures taken.

Perhaps if we'd put it in a YouTube video you might have noticed?

I'll break it down for ya - pretty much everyone here said "Biden's an idiot, this is bad, US security around classified docs needs to be tightened".

They also said that Biden, unlike Trump: 1) didn't actively try to hide documents or try to claim he had the right to have them, 2) revealed their existence, rather than having it revealed by forcing the authorities to RAID HIS HOUSE and 3) asked for an investigation into his conduct which Trump would never consider in a million years.

"Bad, but not as bad as Trump because" is not "good". I understand you have trouble with such nuanced thinking, so I took the liberty of finding a YT source that can help:

You do know what a special prosecutor does?

If he recommends Biden be arrested, let's revisit this.

    Trump is also under investigation.
