Red state murder problem. Thread title.

Your stupid copy and paste includes "can switch between semi-automatic/fully automatic fire."

Your definition excludes the models civilians can legally own. Your smug, bitchy little post about "assault" weapons was an explicit admission that they are irrelevant to this thread.

While I'm sure I could beat Adam Lanza to death with a folding chair no problem, I'm mostly just referring in general to attackers with knives being easier to stop or isolate than attackers with guns.

If you had to choose between dealing with one of the two, would you really have no preference?

You are aware this thread has only two pages and we can all easily go to page 1?

So when the definition bullshit falls apart then you want me to repeat the argument you knew was so airtight you could not even touch it.

OK, I am still owning your guntard ass. It would just be easier on you if you dropped out now and pretended to ignore me. Your guntard friends FF and UA have learned not to even step up, and maybe you should too.

Yup, right again. @Lanzman has no argument at all to my stated point and that is why he resorted to pretending things were not defined and then asking me to repeat myself.

It is almost like this has happened before millions of times with ammosexual guntards who cannot handle their emotional problems. There is a reason why people like lanz need guns, and they should reralize your gun does not silence people over the internet. Here you are just some guntard asshole who can't back up his limp fucking argument.

I knew it from day 1 with you.

The question is whether I'm willing to see innocent civilians disarmed in the hope thay criminal shitbags will then voluntarily start obeying the law and only attack people with knives. In the name of fair play or something.

if only the criminal shitbags you're so terrified of didn't have such easy access to buying guns legally.

after all, much as every gun owner is a law abiding one until they cease to be law abiding (looking at you school shooters) every gun was once legally possessed/used until it wasn't any longer.

The "preparedness = terror" strawman is not improving with age, and the idea of tracking down and confiscating all the illegally owned firearms in this country is such a silly little fantasy that you might as well just state outright that you've got nothing useful to suggest, because it amounts to exactly the same thing.

And of course you all know that, which is why, rather than sketching a diagram for that impossible task, you'll pivot and deflect with bullshit invalid comparisons to countries having nowhere near our surface area, criminal population or number of weapons.

wow... it's impressive how you can misrepresent what was said while it's still on the page.

that you think you're "prepared" for anything is laughable.

Yeah, while I normally agree with Beau he's off his rocker if he thinks this is 'modern' masculinity. This goes back through all of recorded history. The hope is we get more civilized, not that we are worse off then we were before. We've always lionized hell even fetishized warrior culture. The difference now is modern weapons are more lethal, and much, much more likely to kill innocents when used.

Prepared for some things , sure.

"Can't prepare for everything, therefore I might as well not bother at all" is just lazy rationalizing for useless people. :)

trying to figure out a) what you're preparing for with a gun?

    b) how it's somehow not bothering at all if one doesn't stock up on firearms?

oh totally... I think he's suggesting this is one illusion of it a certain segment of us cling to to justify our cowardice and entitlement.
look at this story... only in America does not signalling a lane change turn into children caught in a crossfire.

I like people to be consistent and not base whether they watch a YouTube video or complain about a YouTube video on someone's political leanings.
a) what you're preparing for with a gun?
You're not trying to figure anything out. You're playing the douchebaggy game of asking disingenuous questions and pretending it's clever. Could have just skipped to the part where you deny the very factual reality of them being used for hunting and defense.

Didn't say that, but I also didn't make it airtight against the cut rate lawyerballing. :brood:

I was referring to the general subject of preparedness. You could have just asked, but it's more fun to be annoying.

oh look... he's throwing out accusations and then deflecting when called on them.

    "defense"

again, against what? oh yeah... others who have gotten a hold of guns breaking into your home while you're there or in case someone cuts you off in traffic.

    perfectly logical.

It's a dumb fucking question with the obvious agenda of "guns worse, therefore ban guns." What are the circumstances? Am I also armed?

If I am attacked with any weapon (and I can't escape), it would be ideal for survival if I have a superior weapon handy. Giving some mugger or home invader a "fair fight on the honorable field of battle" is some ignorant Hollywood bullshit that will get you killed.

It's also not a guaranteed, foregone conclusion that all gunshot wounds are worse than all knife wounds. I'd rather be attacked an inept person with a marginal firearm, than a skilled person with a well-maintained blade.

Humans or animals, wielding more force than I can resist unarmed, in a scenario where escape is not feasible. Again, you already knew that, and you could have just skipped to the part where you dismiss it based on the likelihood of it happening.

Sure, those are among the many theoretical possibilities. Doesn't negate the others.
