You know, thinking about cities like Detroit, and that the Democrats and the underclass are destroying America, I'm saddened that our country's best days may be behind us. I mean really, really saddened.
On the flip side, if you so much as use one single non-union subcontractor on a job, you risk having people picket your work site with signs that make it sound like you eat babies for breakfast and spend your free time strangling kittens with your bare hands. Being a peninsular state also carries some handicaps for certain types of business, because in Ohio or Indiana, you have a better chance of being right on a convenient cross-country thoroughfare. Michigan's geography, especially as you head further north, is not always as conducive to shipping.
That's it right there, Tafkats. Back in the day when 'shipping' actually used ships, Buffalo, Detroit and Chicago, were major cities. Nowadays, with shipping going to interstate highways, unions and striking are hindering any opportunity of bringing businesses back into Michigan. The people of Michigan are going to have to decide which is more important - business or unions.
