Extremely dissapointing for a mod. But none of that matters if we are just "having a bit of fun", right?
One thing has become painfully obvious in the last year or so: El Chup is not interested in discussion. He only cares about board drama. If there isn't any, he stirs it up. If no one is trolling him, he pretends they are. I really don't know why anyone bothers discussing it with him. Once or twice, okay. But going around and around and around is like talking with JohnM about the moon landings. And, to be perfectly honest, I doubt that Chup even believes the stuff he writes. He admitted to us all very openly, the last time he was around and trying to buy the board from Lanz, that we actually know nothing at all about him because everything he posts here is just part of his internet personna. My guess is that he is just having a little lawyerly fun, getting some laughs out of watching people try to respond to his trolling. We all know the solution for that.
The question is Mr. Lionheart, which posts are a troll and which are serious? I have posted both (albeit, keeping the trolls in the Red Room for the most part). So which is which?
The thing about crying wolf so often is that eventually, no one cares anymore. Oh, a PM being unsolicited doesn't make it trolling. Giving you an opportunity to ask him questions is not trolling. You've said and done some bizarre things lately while taking the piss but this has to be the top of the heap.

Such a correction can only come in the form of answering the questions I have asked.....which his PM claimed he would. As for posting the PM. If you're sincerely trying to argue that someone who sent a PM that contains no personal or private information whatsoever has no right to divulge the contents of said PM, then I contend that you are smoking some serious crack.
OK ... just off the top of my head and by no means all-inclusive, here are a handful of people who I think are generally fair-minded and who I'd be perfectly fine with in the unlikely event that personal information of mine were discussed in the Shelter or whatever it's called: Aenea Asyncritus evenflow Frontline John Mrs. Albert Nova shootER I'm sure more names will pop into my head right after I hit the submit button.
All I feel is vague, semi-apathetic pity that someone I used to like and respect has turned into such a bitter, petty and sad individual. He broke no rule...he'd only need your permission to post anything you said in a PM. He can post what he wrote all he wants as long as it doesn't contain any personal information...which it clearly does not.

As long as you cut out any quotations from PMs that you received from others, and the only content that you share is content that you yourself generated, and it's not content that would OTHERWISE be against the rules/law to post, shit, why not?

It's pretty well established that only the sender's permission is required to post a PM, so long as any the senders of any quoted PMs therein posted are okay with it too. I think at one point we actually changed the rules because of the ridiculousness of getting the recipient's consent (subject to the usual privacy and other rules of course). Otherwise, I couldn't PM Tamar "El Chup really has a stick up his ass these days." and then post to the board the same thing.
