hmmm Noun wasicu white person, Caucasian, white people a non-Indian a native person who has lost their culture and thus become "not native". greedy person, dishonorable person Well, I don't really identify as white, but I don't often have cause to discuss my heritage either. So (1) is inaccurate I'm definitely not native enough to ask for status, but I'm comfortable knowing it's in me (a half and a quarter via my maternal lineage) (2) is out (3) is accurate insofar as I've never really lived the culture beyond participating as a guest... (4) well, my rep is good and folks consider me kindly. I'm pretty sure it isn't in play. So the only thing he's got is, essentially, telling me I'm an apple (albeit a pale one.. like a golden delicious or something). Isn't that what Black folks call "shade-ism"?
The term I’ve heard is colorism, but even that kind of hate between light skins and dark skins is askin to Bugs and Daffy pissing over duck versus rabbit season until they both see an Elmer Season sign.
Where is El Chup. He need to bring his ass back. The Euro's lately have turned into bland soup. K. of all people is actually the most interesting one at this point! The standards have slipped.
Here's a challenge: Make a list of everyone in the RR you consider a liar. Or is it more of an "I'm in a pissy mood so X is a liar today"?
He's convinced that getting that last word in means he's "won," even if the last words are copy-paste nonsense. I honestly pity his girlfriend.
Certainement. Any privilege associated with being white is naturally a product of the same social construct which created whiteness in the first place.
You're talking about a concept that is by its nature prejudice based on race, ergo it is racist. Not difficult.
It’s not prejudice. People shouldn’t take things so personally. Pointing out that white people are the beneficiaries of race-based systemic privilege isn’t an attack or accusaion. It doesn’t mean life is perfect for white people. It doesn’t mean white people don’t have to work hard or sometimes struggle. It doesn’t mean white people can’t be socially disadvantaged in other ways. Just that given the exact same set of circumstances, a person of color has an additional racial handicap that a white person doesn’t.
