That's very well said. But some people can't grasp the nuances of your statement because they do not believe in sociology. The idea that individual choices do not drive social forces is anathema to them.

Social inequality is created by biological differences. It is more than adequate to explain the inequality.

People like Quest and Packard live in a state of delusion. They can't come to terms with the fact that the idyllic world they hope for can never come to pass. There's no human system holding blacks down. There's no human barrier keeping women out of STEM. Nature has made us all different for better or worse. But rather than try to acknowledge our differences and find ways to help everyone live fulfilling, meaningful lives, they'd rather waste their time trying to convince others to join them in their delusion.

And why wouldn't they take it personally when someone makes prejudiced statements based on their race - an aspect of themselves they have no control over.

That is exactly how it's being used, and its based on lies and half-truths.

Tell that to the people who are being shouted down, or attacked, or segregated based on their race and/or sex.

The notion of "white privilege" is a judgement of individuals based on race. That is something you can't get around, not the least of which because it's in the name. And it is used to justify "rude" behavior because identity politics is based on Marxist principles that say the oppressed should hate the oppressor, and white people are the oppressors in their view.

Even if it didn't, it is a major part of it now.
