Zel: Just as an aside here, if Tamar gets that worked up over the Sims, she ought to try out Second Life, where there's actual humans driving the avatars around...

Doesn't matter which Enterprise, they're all cooler than the TARDIS, because the TARDIS isn't cool, it's quirky. :diacanu:

Big beautiful (heavily armed) spaceship WAY cooler then blue police box.

Of coures there IS something to be said for the ability to time travel randomly without Brannon Braga being involved.

TARDIS. Love the Enterprise, but I can't imagine how it can possibly compare.

Both are pretty cool, but Serenity is where I'd most rather call home. :)

The TARDIS has the "answer to no one, go wherever the fuck I want" appeal going for it, but that's largely negated by the vehicle itself being willful.

And you, of all people, could not possibly take that over phaser banks and photon torpedoes.

Yeah. Trapped on a rust bucket with a libertarian/anarchist sociopath that puts around the 'verse.

Yeah, no. Torpedoes at the ready. Mr. Sulu, engage, warp six. *waves hand*

TARDIS is pretty damn cool. But then, so is the Enterprise.

Depends on which Enterprise, I say.

Enterprise era Akiraprise - TARDIS, hands down.

TOS Enterprise - Enterprise by a nose hair

Movie Enterprise - prettiest ship of all time IMO. I think it was the curve of the neck/support structure holding up the primary hull. Always reminded me of a stallion straining to break free of the bit and just GO.

Excelsior Enterprise - pretty cool ship, but Cameron as the captain compared to Doctor Who - ANY Doctor Who - and the TARDIS comes out ahead again

Ambassador Enterprise - Rachel Garret's ship, cool ship, went out saving the Federation/Klingon alliance, but also gave us Sela through some weird time spatial anomaly thingie. Again the Tardis

Galaxy Enterprise (E-D) - Picard is a cooler old cranky guy than almost any of the doctors with the possible exception of Hartnell. Stylistically the ship leaves a bit to be desired, as it isn't nearly as pretty as the TOS, Move Era or Excelsior versions. And the whole saucer separation thing was lame. But you've got holodecks, a klingon tactical officer, we actually got to see a cast member die (well, sorta), they came to their senses and wrote out Wesley, and we got our first throw down with the Borg here. E-D by Wesley Crusher's baby chin whiskers.

Sovereign Enterprise (E-E) - for the fight against the Borg at the beginning of First Contact alone (when the E-E dwarfs the Defaint flying by, taking shots at the Borg Cube), the E-E gets the nod.

Three nacelled future Enterprise commanded by Admiral Riker - getting up in the Millenium Falcon level of cool here....

Oh, and Serenity - great cast, but it's an old rustbucket for a civilization that doesn't even have FTL travel....

I don't know what a TARD is, so I'm gonna go with the ENT-D.

Of course if the Tardis was working properly the Doctor could just make it look like the Enterprise if he wanted, and it can go a lot faster. :)

Enterprise is cooler. Especially TOS Enterprise. Can't beat a Connie.

However, my druthers for a personal spaceship would be more along the lines of a Vorlon cruiser from Babylon 5. A living ship . . .

Um, Spock, McCoy, Scott and Chekov disagree!

And if Uhura wasn't fighting them off with a stick, there was something seriously wrong with the hetero male crewmembers... ;)
