Well, if I had more time more often to post, that would improve WF a great deal. I see no reason to change the name. There are boards that I don't frequent, but I don't think they're that dead (this is opposed to my own forum, where there are boards that ARE dead and need to be swept up). No comment on Sokar vs henryhill. I don't agree with people all the time, but as far as I've found, stating what I think without getting too personal in explaining why the other person is an idiot has rarely resulted in huge shitfests. I'm more of a "do unto others" kind of guy.
I'm not sure I agree that the answer to too many people leaving is more people leaving...it seems counter-productive.
I never thought much of Garamet, especially lately with her troll fests. What a lot of people didn't notice is that she used to go at it with Tamar. Guess who quit? Tamar did. Guess who didn't? Garamet. She just found someone else to troll. And despite all that, I did NOT want her gone. But breaking the rules is breaking the rules.
Are you telling us that each of the people who have left and are listed in Sokar's signature line have left because they were run off? Talk about utter nonsense. A great example of that nonsense is Cass. She wasn't run off, she left because she chose not follow rules. POTN, was not run off either.
Up until Henry started trolling, everyone actually had a point in this thread. Me thinks we should be getting rid of Henry.
Well, no one on the internet can be run off of anywhere except by two methods....they remove themselves or they are banned. Wordforge is pretty upfront about needing a thick skin to post here. Is there a suggestion on the table that this should change and Wordforge should be a more managed and structured environment?
I come here because it's less structured--I wouldn't like communicating with people if we thought we were going to be censored in some way.

Trinity, Cass, and aurora - I thought they were all the same person. At least two of them were. Left because they wanted to or broke the rules and had to. OR, a combination of both. Samwise - don't know. The rest, don't have enough info to decide. Harmon - wanted his own place with his own rules. Good for him, but I don't think he was "run" off. Diacanu was a brat who was amusing but was getting on more and more people's nerves over time. Somewhere, in his mind, he crossed a line where he couldn't live with people's opinions of him. Not run off, either. hh - still here. garamet, broke a rule and was kicked out. That's 6/11. And including a few others who weren't mentioned but left or were shown the door, the odds get even worse. I may be wrong in my opinion here but it's not just an "us versus them" idea I have.

No, but truth isn't the issue; intention is. If you made a sig celebrating that I was going to give you a free tank, that would imply you think it's good to get a free tank. Of course Sokar is either wrong or a liar; that doesn't change the fact that he presents the growing list of missing posters as good news.
Yes, and it's not just the censoring of opinions. TNZ is full of people who fill every goddamn thread with content-free posts and think they're George Carlin or Mitch Hedberg, but they're actually just window-licking, fist-biting spammers. There are a few good posters at TNZ, but they're the minority. If you come over here spamming up the place with nonsense or being a complete idiot - left or right - you'll get your ass handed to you. I don't think Sokar or anyone else is trying to Run People Off, I just think some people can't handle posting here so they either get banned or leave. It may mean that a few good posters leave, but I bet it keeps away far more terrible posters that would just be able to fill the board with crap and not have any consequence. I love Wordforge, I just got here, and I don't want to see this place turn into another TNZ.
Again, so what? If Sokar thinks it's a good idea to have some people go away, that's his business and his opinion. Must we all share your ideas or be classed as on the wrong side of the issue? IMO, it doesn't matter what he thinks unless I agree with him or I'm just looking for a fight. He certainly can't hurt my by writing something here and it certainly doesn't make whatever he thinks true.
