Slap media and press start together and make the rules on privacy clearer (ie: nothing can be used from the blog forums without permission of the user and no digging up info on posters irl info from other sources.
Could have exemptions for people who post links or give there real name in there user profiles like Garamet.)

I can't say how many people were forced to leave. I know I wasn't because I can go back and forth pretty much at will. It's my choice to spend time here rather than there. Same goes for anyone else who's been *banned* which I think you're confusing with being run off from a place. I'm sure there are people for whom this isn't the best environment and leave of their own will but, again, I don't know anyone who was made to leave by other members.

I think you know as well as I do that a minuscle amount of people were forced to leave; definitely in the single digits.

Whenever someone links to TrekBBS, there are two or three people here who say they can't see it because they're banned. The point is, there are very, very few of them compared to the high number of people who have *chosen* to post on WF more than or instead of posting on TrekBBS, and even many of those who were banned on TrekBBS made that decision independently of a late or temporary ban.

There you are then. So we've established that you don't need force to motivate people to post or not post on a bbs. Like you, they will make a choice without being forced.

By this logic having headstones in a cemetary is proclaiming the "good news" that someone is dead.

You interpret Sokar's sig as a show of respect towards missing posters? As an expression of grief over their demise? A way to honour their time as WFers? Really?

No, I see it as making a mockery of the fact they left, which is not the same thing as being glad they left or saying the fact they left is a good thing.

Okay, so, my input.

Firstly, whoever made the comment about the posters being the problem.... well that's a stupid thing to say. It's akin to "retail is a pretty good job, if it wasn't for all the customers".

A board lives and dies by it's posters. Simple as. Sorting out the rooms is simply pruning the community and directing them in what should be the healthier ways.

I go to this board when I'm bored. If it doesn't amuse me, I don't visit as much. Personally, I find the drama boring, because I don't really care about any of the issues being argued, or the people arguing them.

Overall, there's nothing I could suggest as improvement that wouldn't get me involved in all this infighting drama, thus, nothing needs improving.

Yeah. That's pretty much where I've been coming from from the beginning. Sokar can't run anyone off unless they've got some predisposition to doing just that. Life can be made uncomfortable for people but that's pretty much an upfront declaration here.
