I'm working on a logo for a project I've toying with. I've got a rough idea of what I want. A shield, wings, and basic colors. There is a meaning behind each design element. However I'm wondering which one I like better. So instead of playing "Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock" I thought why not ask here, especially since Forbin and Scorpy are SMEs on this. So please, let me know if you like any of the below, if you hate them all, or if Lanz should give tEh Babba complete and sole control of the board. In addition, what about the 3rd color where it is currently white? Finally I have an image that I am going to put in the blue / red field. It will be a cameo in all white, but that can wait till later
D appeals to me, but I think I might have seen something very similar before... some car company? I really can't recall.
I chose A. Of those with the curved wings, I would choose C. I think that you need to keep the differentiation between the slant at the end of the wing, and the horizontal at the bottom. On choices D, E and F, it's too close to a blend on the lowest wing. If I could suggest: Slanted ends that don't match up. ............/ ........./ ....../ .../
I'm split between A and C. I don't care for any of those with three wings or that are more curved. I'm going to say C.
Yeah I figure something like that would happen. It's not like a shield with wings would be all that original. However I'm trying to put as an original spin on this as I can. Like El Chup Asked, this is for a side business I'm thinking of getting involved in. I'll say more when I get some more input. The wings are supposed to symbolize comfort. The shield is meant to evoke strength. I'm trying to keep the design as simple as I can keeping in mind stitch count should I ever get this embroidered. Even then I have to wonder if I should just scrap it all, that every one of them is too busy. Then again that is probably me being up for 20 hours talking. cause I cribbed the idea from MLB. Like I said there will be a white cameo that will go on top of it. Thanks for the input so far.
[yt=I feel ya]9PR_rzF8ofw[/yt] On the 'being too busy' front, back to my earlier question, why the gaps? Get rid of em and you go from 8 horizontal lines to 5 (4 tines).
The six images are indeed quite rough, and they are all virtually identical. At this stage, and especially without knowing the intended symbolism, I can't say one is any better than another. Heck yeah! WF is all about providing feedback! But... If you really want help, you'll first have to tell us what the symbolism is intended to convey. note - SME
A C and D are the only ones I liked, with D being my favorite. I like the way the wings curve, and the fact that there are 4.
I'm not liking the low contrast between the red and blue to be honest. One of them needs more intensity. For the wings, I'm kind of liking a gold-bronze hue, maybe even a metallic. You'll be able to complete the primary colour cycle, but still keep them asymmetric. (D) or (F) do it best for me. I like the stronger curve.
Thanks. That the coloring that was going through my head as well.I thought the red and blue were a good contrast. As for what this is, I currently teach my firearms classes as part of other companies. I want to form my own. This is to make some side money. Sorry about beating around the bush up to this point.
D first, then C. Definitely go with 4 wings. And get a better red/blue balance on the shield, maybe similar to this...
Interesting. Now that THAT is out of the bag, I'm wondering why you chose a shield to represent this? Unless your clientele are mostly in the security business, it might be a little odd. Just my opinion.
