I said that I would come back after things had died down. They have, mostly. And I see that there are discussions about rule-changes, which I would be interested in participating in. So...having read Volpone's post, I think that his idea is an excellent one.

No, it needs to be recognised that anyone who come to WF with the express purpose of damaging the board by chasing off its members is not wanted.
It does seem like sokar and others are only negative influences. So angry and hateful... I just couldnt be bothered with the effort involved
I don't know what the fuss here is about. People that break the rules, no matter who they are, should be subject to those penalties. To try to spin Cass and garamet's dismissals as some conspiracy's fault is nonsense. It was obvious to me that Cass wanted to be banned there at the end and g certainly should've known better if she didn't.
Thirded, a long while back, I always use to remember that while you could have a heated and passionate discussion in the red room, yet you could still go into chat or the green room and blue room and treat each other in a civilized manner. Somewhere along the line it became about running people off the board.
It's not necessarily a direct result of the bans. What I know is that for one reason or another, the board is becoming more ideologically uniform. And whether related to the bannings or not, there are those here with the express intention of chasing people who disagree with them away. So to keep WF interesting, what's best is if Sokar and his buddies are told as unanimously as possible to fuck off.
What the fuck is this shit about "Running Posters Off The Board?" Can someone exactly tell me how you "run someone off the board?" And if it's so goddamn easy, why don't you run those supposedly bad posters off the board yourselves?
I've asked this before and I'll ask it again, can any of the people whining about how big a problem this is actually name someone who has been "run off the board"?
The only problem I'm seeing here is that one person will post an opinion and two others will jump on him saying, "That's not true! You're a dumbass! Where the fuck do you get that idea, you fucking (insert political affiliation here)!" The accused responds by insulting the attacker, and it turns into a mini-shitstorm. I dunno how many times I've seen people try to state an opinion, but get immediately put town by someone who hardly knows more on the topic. Unfortunately, we're not about to change the way we act toward each other, so I suggest to everyone to get the fuck over it. What else can we do?
