Why does Ted want to legalize prostitution?

I already said upthread I don't post in TNZ that much anymore, so when I saw Ted start the prostitution thead there I figured I'd just post in the duplicate I assumed he would start here. Then I saw there wasn't one, which struck me as odd, and the prostitution thing already bothers me... so I called him on it.

Then instead of responding on a topic where everyone basically agrees with him, he just kept repping Tamar over and over, which now that I'm noticing it, really is creepy.

Real talk but the whatever his motives we're for supporting legal prostitution, the idea of legalized sex work was ahead of the times for 2007.

With stuff like OnlyFans taking off, there's less reason for johns to get involve and for people to be exploited.

Ok, you've lost me. Yes, you always pay for porn - generally in cash, but I suppose one could work out a deal and pay in some other way. But, if you're just talking about sex, then I disagree vehemently. However, based on some of your posts, then I can see why you would feel that way.

Jesus Christ. If I take a girl out on a date and that leads to something else, then in a sense I paid for it. It’s not exactly the same as prostitution, but you do kind of pay in one way or another.

Again, based on this post, I can see why you would feel that way.

However, some of us are more mature than that. I do not, in any way, shape, or form, consider myself paying for sex when I go visit Uncle Albert in Omaha. As far as I know, he doesn't consider paying for sex when he purchases food and drink for those visits.

Neither of us consider what we are doing as "paying for sex".

If the only purpose for going on a date is to have sex, then I can see why you feel like you are paying for sex.

As I said in the beginning, I was looking for clarification on what you said. Most people understand the phrase "I don't follow" or "you lost me" as "I don't understand what you just said, please clarify"

However, It hardly matters, there's no reason for you to reply to me at all as when I do ask specifically "please explain XXXX", you still want to act as if what you said was clear as a bell.
