McCain conceded Michigan?????? When did that happen? God, I need to turn on my television. If he's done that, he's fucked.

    Here you go.

Looks at this point like McCain's going to have to sweep the board on contested states to have a chance.

I think most Conservatives/Republicans have accepted Obama is going to win. Of course I don't think the democrats are going to get nearly the wailing, gnashing of teeth and rending of garments they expect (and secretly hope for) from us.

While I'm honest to accept that McCain will lose..I still can't help thinking that a lot of Libs,Dems and members of the MSM are are going to be very upset and angry after Nov-4.:)

That's right...in fact I hope if Barry O dose win that the Dems take complete control of the Government with Republicans having no filibuster power in the Senate and few votes in the House where the Dems can use them as scape goats...maybe 4yrs with the Dems in power will remind Americans why they kicked them out in '94.

Well four things can give McCain a chance.

    1) Magical turnaround in the economy in the next 3 weeks.

    2) Obamas base not actually showing up at the polls (his highest support demographic tends to also have the lowest voter turnout)

    3) Secret conservative (people saying they will vote for Obama in public because it's not "cool" to vote conservative after W, but hitting McCain in the booth with the curtain closed)

    4) Secret Racism (saying they support Obama, but hitting the McCain button in the privacy of the poll booth)

A lot can happen in 5 weeks. For McCain's sake, he'd better pray that a lot does happen.

Not exactly. If McCain wins, 99% of the country will be praying for the simultaneous assassination of the President and Vice President by the end of January 2009. That's not polarization.

McCain gave away this election with this economic fuck up. He had a perfect opportunity here and what did he do only a few days of promising to veto all bills laced with pork, vote yay on a 700 billion dollar bailout packaged laced with pork. :jayzus: McCain, you are made of FAIL and AIDS.

Disagreeing with people isn't "channeling bryce."

But while we're on the subject, did you really send him taunting PMs the first time he turned his rep off?

The thing that gets me about all this - cause I've always been philosophical about the Dems having all the power when we really go over the cliff - is the whole mysterious thing where dumb ass voters decide NOW, becuase of THIS financial crisis, that they want obama.

Obama hasn't said shit for public consulption about fixing THIS issue....I mean he still trots out his basic stup speech and tweaks it a bit....but he hasn't done anything that SHOULD make the fence-sitter say "Of, Fiuck! Dude has got it nailed!"

They don't notice at all that the two most powerful actors in the current situation - both to cause it and to not fix it - are Democrats, or that Obama is very highly tied to the power structure at fault.

They are so fucking stupid they just knee jerk "bad thing happen while Bush pres *ugh!* Bush Republican *ugh!* McCain Republican *ugh* Me vote Obama"

So easy a cave man can do it.

I really don't mind voting for Obama for legitimate reasons, respect it even, even if that turns out to be 60% of the population. But voting Obama cause you're too damn stupid to know what the fuck is going on sticks in my craw.

IF you only decided who you were going to vote for AFTER the financial mess started, and THAT led you to choose Obama, seriously, your a moron.

Yep, I can't see her as president either.

Me neither. In fact, I can't remember any Speaker of the House in recent times who I'd have wanted to see as president. Ditto for presidents pro-tem of the Senate. Why is it that neither chamber ever seems to pick their best people for leadership? (Yeah, I know the Senate president pro-tem is the most senior member of the majority party, but that's just custom, not constitutional requirement.)

At this point, it would take nothing short of McCain being revealed as the Son of God himself for him to win.

Okay, maybe not quite that much. But it would take a massive fuck-up by the Obama campaign or a major shocking revelation about Obama himself in order for him to lose.
