Spurrier is one of those guys you don't mind when he's on your side, but as far as everyone else is concerned he's a douche.
Sure. He's a genius. But there's only so much silk purse you can get out of South Carolina's sow's ear.
I'm not a old enough to remember, or a UF fan so haven't looked it up, but according to one of my best friends (who Spurrier) Florida wasn't shit either until he got there. To this day he still has a Spurrier picture on his Gator Shrine.
^Those people who are front runners/side schoolers are always funny. Knew this idiot who wore a Miami hat, a USC hat, and then to top it off a Patriots hat in the span of 4-5 years.
Was reading somewhere last night about about the possibility of 3 Big XII teams in the BCS games, if Mizzou were to upset whomever is the South div champion in the Conf. title game. You should've seen the fur flying in that thread! Damn if it wasn't entertaining. The SEC and USC fanboys were pissed! Now, it's a given that I'm a Tiger fan, and while I don't think the scenario is impossible, I'll admit it's a longshot. But Mizzou beat up on Tech last year, and OU isn't quite a scary-good as last year, so who knows. Anyhoo...I think I'm rooting for Tech to win out, so Mizzou gets a shot at them.
Source = http://www.fannation.com/truth_and_rumors/view/78334?eref=fromSI also Can't find the official BCS rules listed, so I'm basing my post on the above. The fact that a BCS spokesman commented on the scenario gives weight to the probability that this is true....
Nautcia is right. A conference could have three teams in the BCS; if they had the top two teams in the final rankings, and a third team that was conference champion. If a conference managed that, they'd deserve it.
Vandy is crapping all over the field. I can't believe it, I thought we would beat TN easy this year. We're even playing at home!!! How can they be so bad?
Michigan seems to be holding their own (although still behind) against Ohio State. I'm hoping they will pull off an upset. If they do, that will allow MSU to take the Big Ten championship if they beat Penn State today.
Well, MSU got pretty much destroyed by Penn State :/ 9-3 is still a pretty solid season, but it would've been great to have gotten this upset on Penn State.
Now that the undercards are finished, we can move on to the only game that matters today. Before the game starts, I'd just like to know how drunk Tex is at this point - will he be awake for the entire game? Cause if he's gonna black out, someone is gonna have to TIVO it for future reference.
So what we're seeing in the 1st quarter is that a defense that can put pressure on Peyton Jr. can make him look quite ordinary....
The OU offensive line is blowing the Rooster defense back 10 yards on every play. Bradford has all day to pass, and is performing surgery on the Rooster secondary. This game is now officially a rout. So much for Rooster perfection. They were a pretender surviving off the energy of their home field. My earlier post bears repeating:
Where's all the OU haters now? Tell me some more about Boise. Tell me some more about W. Virginia. Yeah, tell me some more about procognitive OU losses. OU is the #1 team in the nation. Period. Tonight they're proving it. Bedlam next week. Are you ready for Boomer Sooner, Flow?
