Well, this should be a good game. Sorry Tex, but I'll be pulling for OSU as I've actually been to Stillwater and had a blast. Not to mention their used to be a Cowgirl in my life...

That beginning works for me. :) Are we a little too hyped up, Tech? Fumble fingers? A little nervous? Gosh, that would be a shame. :D

Son of a bitch. They should have had Harrell dead to rights behind the line of scrimmage on that 3rd and 4. :jayzus:

EDIT--Who's the guy commentating with Musberger? Damn he wants to suck Harrell's dick hard.

This game is already over. My congratulations to your Raiders, Tex. I'm far more impressed with their offense than with the Longhorns. The Cowboys can't stop Harrell no matter what they do. It's over. It doesn't matter that there's more than a quarter left. The Cowboys always play like shit in Lubbock. :jayzus: I thought the pattern would change this year, but it hasn't. No use denying it. It's not sour grapes or my giving up on my team. I'll be back eagerly rooting for them next week. It's resolution. They can't stop Harrell. It's obvious they don't have the personnel. They have zero chance. I'm rather calm about the whole thing. The better team is winning. That's what usually happens. I swear to God if Tech loses to Alabama in the title game I'll hire someone to tape all their butt cheeks together and leave them stranded naked in public. You'd better win in Norman, too.

Will the Cowboys win in Stillwater next year? Most likely yes. Will they lose in Lubbock the following year? Yes.

Yet somehow Tech will lose to the Sooners next week, 58-12.

That would be par for the course, flow. Man, that caller Sally who called in to the "unsportsmanlike conduct" show on The Sports Animal is going to have to eat some serious crow this week. I wouldn't want to be her. You never start crowing until after your team has won, Sally.

Oh well. We'll still likely end up 10-2, which is better than anyone dreamed coming into this season.

MR, this is why you should just stay in the kitchen and let the men talk football. :bergman: JK, but I do love it that you're eating your words from all those posts.

Flow, go buy your shirt, thanks for contributing to my university. Now go beat OU and seal the deal for us. Fuck it, we'll do that on our own. Raider fucking Power, bitch. Hey Flashy, see you in 2 weeks.

Not much to say about that game. After the opening fumble and Cowboy TD, it was all Roosters, all night long. A serious beat-down. Cowboy defense was helpless, they made Rooster QB look like Peyton Manning. He threw to the middle of field to wide open receivers the whole game.

Two weeks. Norman, Oklahoma. The dream dies. :bergman:

I love how it's never that Tech did good, it's always that the other team did bad. Flashy and the gooners will fall at home and I'm sure it will somehow still not be because Tech is good. :jayzus:

Why are you here talking about it then, Barbara Ann? :lookatme: All those posts? All two or three of them? :whoopdedoo: If Tech doesn't win their bowl game and makes the conference look bad, I shall show you no mercy, oh Texas one. :evilpop:

One of the more impressive things I saw last night during the TTU v OSU game was...Tech's backup QB. The dude had all the poise in the world back there, one hell of an arm, and was pretty damned accurate. He went out there, marched'em down the field, completed like 5 passes in a row, and they scored another TD. No drop off there!

Tech better be ready to pony up a shit load of money to keep Leach. Imagine what he could do at a place like Tennessee where it would actually be easy to recruit players. This bunch seems to be coming together perfectly and peaking at just the right time. I'm not so sure OU will beat them in Norman. OU's secondary isn't even as good as OSU's. Tech would slice through them like tissue paper unless they're complete and total wuss outs on the road.

I'm glad Alabama pulled it out over LSU. If they are 12-0 going into the SEC Championship it will guarantee a National Championship berth for the Gators. Florida creepin while ya sleepin!

Certainly easy to look flawless against a team who's defense obviously hadn't analyzed any film of prior Rooster games.

Sorry, I'm not impressed. Down there in Lubbock, Tech gets to play their video-game version of football. Take them out of that environment, put them in Norman, on grass turf, facing a hostile crowd? That's where Tech gets exposed. Looking up at all those national championships, a tradition of winning that Roosters can only dream of, and suddenly their feet will feel like they're encased in concrete.

Tech loses to any team that has a decent running game that can chew the clock and keep Peyton Jr. off the field. Their Mike Martz clone coach won't have enough gimmicks & gadgets to save them.

Rooster schedule has been favorable, they got two of their three biggest games at home. On the road, they definitely lose to Texas (who should have won that game anyway), and probably to OSU. At home, they collapsed against Nebraska, barely escaping in OT.

Sooners will be motivated, this is their chance to vault back into the national championship game picture. Beat the Roosters, beat Mizzou in Big 12 title game, and it will be Sooners-Alabama for BCS glory.

    Sooners 62, Roosters 28

After the Roosters fall, I will eagerly await the next installment The Chronicles of Tex's Drunken Rage.

Flashlight has obviously gone off the deepend. You can't "expose" a team that's 10-0, sure you could beat them, but at 10-0 they are a proven solid team. If they win they belong in the national championship, if they lose they still deserve BCS. Tech hasn't lost this season so the rest of your rambling is worthless.

There's a piece missing in that scenario. If Sooners beat Tech it creates a 3-way tie for Big XII South title. Tie-breaker is BCS ranking. OU would have to leapfrog over Texas...a team that beat them...in order to play in Big XII Championship.

Frankly, as a Mizzou fan, I'd rather see the Tigers play Tech first, Sooners second, and Texas third, out of those three choices.

Flashlight, you're dreaming, buddy. Even when I was entertaining hopes that my Cowboys would win, I had it at 34-31 in my mind. You aren't going to score on Tech like you did on A&M or Nebraska. Tech is better than those teams. Their defense is better. Consider yourself lucky that the Sooners get them at home when Texas and OSU got them on the road. Tech's not going to panic on the road. I'm not saying it's impossible that the Sooners could win--but it isn't going to be 62-28. You're dreaming. This is not Texas A&M.

So let's see, Tech has a better offense, a better run game, a more aggressive defense, and believe it or not a better kicking game. They've beaten two top ten teams, teams that themselves had beaten two top two teams at the time.

What exactly are you basing this on, that win against Kansas?

Flashy has always been delusional about college football.

Well, other things too, but it's easier to see when he's talking about OU. :)

The Raider DTs are very impressive. I'd say Bradford is likely going to be getting pressure up the middle all day, and that's a great way to make an excellent offense look only average.

I think it's a toss-up, which you normally give to the home team. But it wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Raiders win that one. And it won't be a blow out.

You folks should hear some of the locals on the talk radio. They've got OU competing for the national title again because they'll "smash" Tech and OSU.

Local Homers crack me up. I'm not calling this a sure thing for Tech by any means but I would be shocked if it was an OU blowout. Tech is the better team but home field is a huge advantage.

Oh, and OSU is going to beat OU by a touchdown. So even if Tech slips I still see us in the Big XII championship.

    Wrong, wrong, wrong, and wrong.

OU is the better team, from top to bottom, and in two weeks they'll prove it.

But c'mon, at this point of course I know that nobody here likes OU (except your wife, but you have apparently silenced her. She also seems burdoned by internalized self-hate, shamed by the fact that she is a Sooner and unable to express her support for Sooner Nation. See, in Oklahoma you're either a proud Sooner fan, or you're a bitter, envious, self-hating malcontent who latches onto the Cowboys or the Golden Hurricane simply because they aren't OU. Kind of like "anybody but Bush," only it's "anybody but OU." These sad, pathetic individuals then spend the rest of their lives wallowing in resentment, endlessly complaining about how the local media doesn't pay attention to anything but OU, and wishing death upon poor Bob Barry, and wishing even worse than death upon poor Bob Barry Jr. Sure, you have T. Boone giving you a billion dollars every couple of years, but you're running out of things to name after him. I weep with pride every time I think of that heroic stealthy Sooner pulling off a stunning covert operation by building "OU" into the side of the stadium with bricks). :salute:

Only irrational hatred for the Sooners blinds you to the very real possibility that such a smashing will indeed occur.
