I am going to enjoy watching you cry when you not only lose to Tech but also to OSU. This is gonna be good. I wonder if you'll even bother showing your face here before the 2009-2010 football thread.

Nice breakdown. What do you think of OU's ability to pass block compared to their apparent inability to run block against good team? What of their giving up lots of points against poor offensive teams? How about their poor kick return coverage coupled with their apparent inability to kick a field goal? I believe two separate kickers failed in consecutive tries to get three last week against the powerhouse Aggies.

Perhaps Stoops needs to hold a kicking competition and pull a kicker out of the stands? :?:

In a game that comes down to the final seconds and a 38 yard field goal, then that would be a problem. But I don't see this upcoming game as being anywhere that close. OU will win going away. Missing field goals against A & M - yeah, like that made any difference.

Giving up points against mediocre teams - OU has a bad problem with getting bored, losing focus, getting sloppy. But against this team, they'll have no problem staying on track.

OU losses always come with a bit of precognition. If they have a trend of giving up kick returns, then their kick coverage is gonna come back to bite them. See Texas 2008. If they're giving up lots of yards up the middle yet winning, some one is going to run wild on em. See Boise 2007.

Will their lack of a kicking game cost them a game? Count on it.

Tex and I are only saying this for your own good. It's our job to take out the Sooners so you don't embarrass the conference in a BCS bowl game again. :techman:

So how much do you think OU is paying Bradford? You think he's getting more than Bomar was?

Well, maybe Flashlight has a point.

I mean, it's not like they will be playing Boise State or West Virginia without its coach or star running back.

So OU has a chance! :)

Let's all pray for a 3 way tie so that the wisdom of the BCS can determine who goes to the Big 12 Championship. Granted, I could see Oklahoma getting the nod and then losing to Missouri. :busheep:

Fuck that, lets pray for Tech to pull through this thing undefeated and Bama to lose so you guys can let the wisdom of the BCS determine which of the many one loss teams gets to play for #2.

Dude! I hardly ever post in this thread. I read, but I rarely post in it. :wtf:

I will be at the OU/OSU game WITH an OU T-shirt on. I watch the games and cheer for them. I've just grown up enough to know it's a game and doesn't really affect me.

I root for Cowboys when I go to a game, but I always root for the Sooners over the Cowboys.

    So in conclusion :muad2:

That's simple, the answer is Florida. Our birthright is to win the SEC and play for a national championship.

OU's luck in bowl games hasn't been great in recent years, can't argue with that.

However, at least OU consistently makes it to BCS bowl games.

OU's last national championship was in 2000. OSU's last championship was.....oh yeah, never.

Rep function seems to be down for the moment... I'll rep that and I can see how either of our interpretations of the bet could have been right from that.

Okay, so we fucking lost. But god damn, considering the utter shit we are this year I think it is a testament to Deep Old South's Oldest Rivalry that as good as GA is this year, the game was so fucking close.

    116 years, 112 games (WWI&II). 53-51-8 Record (Auburn up two) and a total 49 point difference. 1,747-1,698.

    That's fucking crazy! :wtf:

My wife and I decided several years ago that it wasn't so much that we hated Florida. It was that we really, really hated Spurrier. If Florida does well against Spurrier, it's all good. :D
