it tastes good... lol. (rolled marzipan,topped with glace cherries/angelica and covered in dark chocolate softened with coconut oil) I felt like messing about in the kitchen today, so that's what turned up to after my roast veg/beer.

So this year's Christmas Eve libation had to be pretty much budget-friendly. The big money from the book royalties starts rolling on the 30th. For tonight, it's Early Times mixed with A&W Creme Soda. Very not-bad.

Did a whole lot of sleeping and getting loose of the flu yesterday. As a result of that, I'm up at 7:08 having already showered and shaved, with a pot of coffee already made, with Scrivener open and a hardware review already laid out and ready to be filled in and zipped off to the webmaster.

I am still congested but a lot less. I shall recover (Few shots of Old Grandad helped).. Feeling tingly..

Yeah, actually, there's the thing -- alcohol helps alleviate fever symptoms due to the fact that -- aside from making one temporarily stupefied and not prone to suffering much of... well... anything... alcohol suppresses core body temperature. Slug down a half dozen shots. Granted, your dreams won't be in any way pleasant, but you will at least get some rest.

As for me, tonight's dinner was quite pleasant. A couple cans of Strongbow to wash down a nice, big, beefy Philly cheesesteak sammich and, on the side, was vaping Johnson Creek's Kiln House Silverthorn. (LGT review.)

that eating garbage at seasonal festivities makes you sick....
I mean, going by personal observation of peeps i know, 50% of the celebrators of junk food at such times feel poorly for a few days after....

I'm still working my way through that six of Strongbow while writing a review of the Innokin iTaste VTR and vaping "Candied Cavendish" from The Plume Room from a Vision X.Jet Spider.

But you know what sounds good, while I'm in here in the Cafe? Meatloaf. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes, with a little succotash on the side, and to drink, some strong dark roast coffee with just a little cream and just a touch of sugar.

Now Maddy I was sick before that, I did have Ham and my sister made veggie casarole with cream of mushroom soup (NO MEAT).. Right now I am making soup beans.

My friend had meatloaf yesterday.. It looked good..

I bought a bottle of Malbec the other day, which has been recommended to me before by a store owner whose judgment I trust, but which I had still not tried until last night. It was very good, made all the more surprising because it was a pretty cheap bottle -- $7, I think.

i would be a tad pickle-dee-doo-dahs if i drank a whole bottle in 3 hrs.... might manage in in a day if i didnt mind being woozy...

My sister Julie, drinks a bottle almost every day..

I hadn't drank any alcohol in over 5 wks & I wanted something that would help me sleep. After I drank it I slept like a baby!

Alcohol wins again!!
