I just looked at that link. Specifically the following part:

If he wanted to stay at the same school, and there have been times where he wanted to. Why did not request a hearing, or if he did then it was denied. And since he has had different teaching jobs in different districts, then he wasn't reassigned.

He was RIF'd at least once. But he did nearly lose his position for the second reason. So it was probably under this section, or reason that he was nearly terminated. And that he did request for a hearing under the fair teacher dismissal act.

So much for his own view of "He is a superior educator", if he was he would have stayed at the same school or district much earlier and wouldn't need to shuffle himself or family around so often.

In my line of work, if an on-air employee's contract isn't renewed, they're essentially being "fired". Otherwise they'd get a renewal or, at a minimum, an extension (one year instead or two or three, which are the typical standard contract lengths).



And I'd like to remind everyone that just because Dayton is serving a temporary ban that doesn't mean that his Blue Room thread is now material for the Red Room.

All this has been disclosed in the Red Room by Dayton himself. I'd refer to the whole incident a little while ago when someone challenged him (may have been Ed?) to confirm what was suspected, to which he gave permission to disclose the report linked to above. What's more he has discussed his firings outside of the RR on multiple occasions. There is no BR breach here that I can see, and if there is it is likely to be extremely minimal and unintentional.

I'm not going to link to them, but there are other documents out there from several years earlier that also raise issues over competence. It is unquestionably a reoccurring theme. I don't see why any of this is surprising though. We could all, well most of us, see him for what he was, particularly in light of his self confessed career history (even if he did try and spin a load of excuses). This is why I have always said he is a danger to children and actually meant it. His views are whacked out and his competence highly debatable. The crap that you read on here is no different from the crap he posts elsewhere. It is his real personality, and that person is taking responsibility over many adolescents' educational lives. If it were my children, I would find the idea deeply disturbing. While I did not and would not do it, I can understand why someone was motivated to contact his Principal.

I'll just say this: The last time I got a ban it was under Tamar's Special Rules, specifically the one that said "YOU CAN FIGURE OUT WHO SOMEONE IS ON THE INTERNET JUST BY KNOWING THEIR FIRST NAME!!!!11!"

She spent the entire week of my ban flat-out lying about me because she knew I couldn't defend myself.

That's how I've seen that type of contract work out as well. Which is why I sincerely Dayton's own assessment of his abilities. You perform well, or well enough you stay. You don't and you're out. I've been employed at more than one place where that was more or less the rule. While he stated that a contract lasts only a year, he never bothered to mention they renew automatically unless someone recommends it isn't done.

I won't quote or directly mention something that is RR material, that he has not posted outside of the RR. But with him, he either will post about it outside the RR, or he will do so to prove a point. The latter of which he has been coaxed or simply been led into doing.

That's why it's so hard to judge when it comes to his Blue Room stuff compared to nearly all the other threads in there. Because he's so free and easy with his info, it's hard to remember whether he brought it here himself or if it's a rule violation.
