But considering the half-life of your arm pain is one day, you should be 100 percent pain-free in a day or two - so that's something to be positive about!

Any real 'Murican would know they are the football coaches of University of Alabamer, Lowsiana State and Jawja. Paul Finebaum is a nationally known (or at least semi-known) sports talk host who has a daily show on the SEC network. I really have a hard time trusting any southernor who doesn't like football... :brood:But don't worry, I won't tell anyone your dirty little secret...:madcookie:

I'm not a native southerner, I'm a Yankee born and bred. Regardless I'm not a fan of ball sports. I literally have no idea which teams were in this year's Super Bowl.

Update: it didn't get worse than after shot #1. Down to about 40% of peak. Other than that, no major side effects so far, knock on wood. Seems like a much faster decay too. At this point after #1, it was still awful, and didn't get better until I woke up the next day.

Well, the first dose of moderna went well. Got it at walmart finally because they were just trying to sign people up by announcing it over their loudspeakers every so often. Publix does that but they won't let you make an appointment at the pharmacy right then. I am still waiting for the health department to get back to me so I can tell them I already got my shot. I try to hate walmart for all the people they put out of business, but instead what I really want to do is pay their employees really well and have them fucking everywhere for everyone. Just take care of your employees all along the chain from manufacture to retail and you would be awesome.

Anyway, my tail is still not growing and I do not have super human strength. I am pretty sure the global tracking chips are not working. I am not causing women to immediately abort their fetuses like I was supposed to also be doing. All I got was a soar arm which is going away now. I felt a bit under the weather for a few hours the first day, but I am pretty sure that was less than COVID. I am not feeling any new love for the democrats, Biden, or Obama. I still have no desire to get a pizza and fuck a child. I still think that is wrong and Matt Gaetze should go to fucking jail.

Maybe the mind control devices are random? I am still hoping for the tail.

Update update: turns out that if you basically don’t get out of bed, you don’t realize you have approximately 5% of normal energy. I got drive-thru and unloaded the dishwasher yesterday, and by the time I got back upstairs, I was totally beat.

That's an impressive drop, after the chaos of last year it's great to see the US getting on top of this. You've gone from a "There's where we'd be if we listened to the covid skeptics" lesson to a vaccination gold standard.

That map is weird, and I'm trying to understand it.

Yes, you have slighty higher rates in the urban areas where fewer Trumpers live, but why is it adhering so closely to state lines? Why are the rural counties of southern Minnesota so different from the rural counties of northern Iowa? Why can you still see the border between North and South Dakota, or Texas and Oklahoma?

Aha -- the map may have some flaws in its methodology. Thread:

County level stuff aside, the state level data is good.

What is interesting is that there is almost a directly inverse correlation between vaccine hesitancy and census response rates.

Wish I could find the tweet thread. But basically if you were to take the top ten states for census response and the ‘bottom ten’ for vaccine hesitancy it is the same states in pretty much the same order.

You can also throw percent Trump votes in there.

Basically all three come from trust (or lack of) in institutions. And with few exceptions it comes down to richer, more educated and more white states. These states also receive high marks from their citizens in terms of what they think about their local and state government.

I’m wandering here but as someone who has lived in and dealt with state governments in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Washington state I am struck by the difference in local and state government responsiveness. It is night and day. And I don’t know if it is chicken or egg. Do people in the South not trust the government because their government sucks? Or does the government suck because people don’t trust (and thus don’t fund and don’t support) their government?

True fact, I’ve had a Washington State Parks customer service employee stay 45 minutes past 5pm ON A FRIDAY working to fix a SNAFU and get me into a campsite. Back in Alabama they wouldn’t have even gotten my call because it was after 4:30.

I think it was Winston Churchill who said that "Americans will always do the right thing...after they've tried everything else." Imagine what we could accomplish if we didn't have the right wing media flogging the anti-vax movement. :madcookie:

When I worked for the CA state parks, I would work late if it meant helping a visitor. Could it come down to lazier work ethic in red states?

I am just glad this one is neutered. Could you imagine the problem he would be if he still had his balls like Matt Goatze.

So - I got vaccinated on Sunday! Pumped full of AZ

However, that night I was making dinner and proceeded to chop off the top bit of my ring finger with the scissors I was using to cut chives

So, that morning I went to the hospital to get stitched up because I was still bleeding a bit and they gave me a tetanus shot, right below where I got my vaccine shot and now I can barely move my fucking arm

    Jab. Pfizer. I'm.

Admittedly, crap grammar and spelling were not uncommon traits for you before the jab. ;) Just don't want the anti-vaxxers using you as an example.
