I believe the phrase you are looking for is Thanks Obama! https://investors.modernatx.com/new...moderna-therapeutics-grant-25-million-develop
I wouldn't trust that snake oil. I went with Oxford-AstraZeneca, the most globally-used and tested COVID vaccine.
weird hot arm lump? Now THAT'S a tracking device. I'll have a talk with my people - sorry about that.
The Seattle Sounders (our soccer team) is setting up vaccine stations at the stadium (1/5th capacity) and giving a hotdog if you get stuck.
It's part of a series of steps and there are more to come, but today we have shops, bars, restaurants, gyms, pools and some tourism reopening. Which feels like it may finally be some sort of "end" to this as far as lockdown goes.
Got my second shot Wednesday. ... I gotta say, I was totally unprepared for the results. Younger son had Covid over the summer, if I got it, I didn't have any symptoms, the first shot didn't have any adverse reactions. In fact, I haven't really been sick in years. But, that second shot knocked me the fuck out. I was in bed all day yesterday with a throbbing headache and all over body aches. It was after noon when I was finally able to get up long enough to take some ibuprofen. then another 2 hour nap and I was able to get up and even drive.
Sorry. Yeah, it's pretty random. My first shot actually knocked me on my ass worse than the second. A friend of mine developed blurry vision for a few days - which surprised her. It's a known side effect to several vaccines, not just the Covid ones. But my 7 day period was over yesterday, and I'm looking forward to a haircut very, very soon!
I got my second Moderna on Tuesday and had a similar reaction to yours the next day. Felt achy all day, especially in my joints.
Great job media. Had you put things in the context they were given maybe you might have rattled the crazies into some thought. Instead you just made it a us vs them thing and no one heard the truth. Maybe when politics is not a reality TV drama we might start getting somewhere with the stupid people.
I read that too (or a similar article) but "fired" is a sticking point. Here is the issue - in the military "fired" for the NCO's at least can mean: 1) assigned to a different duty position, unit, or military installation altogether with no further action - not a deal breaker, and with "fuck up & move up" could be advantageous to your career. 2) same as #1 except also getting a formal reprimand or bad NCOER * which means you won't get promoted, thus once your current contract expires you can't reenlist, ending your career. 3) immediately getting processed out of the military thus ending your career on the spot. * Non Commissioned Officer Efficiency Report. Get a low enough rating and your career is derailed at a minimum but the degree can vary.
Oh shit! After responding to the post I just realized that it must be in the wrong thread. More coffee please!
I get my second Pfizer today. 2 weeks to immunity and I can see people again, ? weeks to vaccine escape of some variant probably out of India. I intend to live life to the fullest for those weeks.
It does very well in situations where it can just get on with it with scientists who love and respect it and not need regular people to actually fucking listen to it. Masks, social distancing and climate change didn't go that smoothly because regular people. Regular people are fucking dicks.
"This law is badly written. Legislation may fix that." "These children are illiterate. Education may fix that." "We want people to visit our website. Vague tweets written by people who haven't actually read the article or understood it may fix that."
Arm is getting sorer by the hour. Every so often I feel like I have no energy but it passes quickly. My arm hurts half as much now as it did at worst the day after shot 1; this doesn’t bode well for tomorrow.
