So the fucking family COVIDed my ass. So they called me to help out my grandmother and visit her and bring her snacks in the new old age home. No problem, don't visit her in the home while you have the incredibly infectios strain that went through 3 doses of the vax. You were dumb for going on the floating COVIS infection cruise, but the rest of us will be safe. I thought my dad was an idiot for going on the cruise, and then I find out he is an intentional vector.

He never tells anyone he visited my grandmother in her box and spent an hour trying to fix her remote. This is something I can do in less than a minute and all I need is a phone call. As for grandma, she manipulates things so he will visit her personally, and she knows he was extremely contagious and sick. She had to have him, and he could not just say no. So I have been going over and I thought the home was testing and monitoring the old people. Evidently Rick "The fucking Trump" Deasantis put an end to most of that shit. So the fucking home is a minefield of the rona. Her room is one of the red zones. No one tells me any of this.

Monday I end up stuck in her room for an hour because she is extra loopy. Tuesday I get the call that she has tested positive. She has been feeling sick and hiding it. So I know what the scratchy throat, headache, fever, and runs are about. I call off my trip, and my only fear is that I spread it to my canasta group on monday. My Father has no fears of spreading things because he went bowling with the over 65 crowd while he was sick. These are his fucking friends.

The family has agreed and bitched that people who do this are assholes, but I guess it does not count if it is you. His mother purposefully went out to talk to people and to the dining rooms in the home when they told her she was positive and had to stay in her rooms. This is the woman who raised him. The home would have booted her had he not bought a guard for her door to stop her from leaving her room. So she unplugged everything that had to do with her TV to force someone to come to her room to fix it. You know you are contagious and sick and you unplugged yout TV and cable box to force someone in your family to show up in person because you got yourself really locked down.

Call someone who gives a fuck because I should be in NC happy and healthy. The only good news is my friend's mother does not need chemo and radiation treatment so they are in a happier place, and he does not need a visit before hell starts.

They closed schools for a long time... a lot longer than the needed. In my kids' case it was 12 months before they went back in person. Now it seems that they'll do the exact opposite. Despite repeated claims by minority Republicans that the remote legislative session makes it difficult for citizens to make their voices heard, data compiled by the non-partisan Office of Program Research show that more people testified for and against bills during last year’s virtual session than ever before. House Majority Leader Pat Sullivan calls that good news as the Legislature heads into another mostly remote session.


SULLIVAN: “With remote testimony you’re seeing people from all over the state having the ability to testify on bills and provide their input. Far too many people couldn’t drive to Olympia and were shut out of the process. You know, the Washington Policy Center, a conservative think tank, has been promoting remote testimony for years because of the fact that it increases access to government. That is the silver lining, that more and more people are testifying on bills before the Legislature.” [:25]


Sullivan, a Covington Democrat, said he’s never seen these kinds of numbers in his previous 17 sessions in the House and predicts remote participation will be a permanent option for citizens.

Well, well. Glenn Beck has Covid "again"" and his self-treatment doesn't seem to be going well.

This time around, the former Fox News host turned conservative media mini-mogul said Wednesday afternoon, the illness has progressed into his lungs.

“I am great, Mark. I am great, Mark,” Beck told fellow right-wing radio star Mark Levin during his daily radio program. “Despite having COVID and seeing the destruction of our country,” he added.

“Do you have COVID right now?” Levin asked.

“Ya, I do,” Beck fired back, adding, “It’s [COVID-19] starting to go into my lungs today and a little disturbing. I’m on all the medications and treatments and everything else, so.”

“It’s all good,” Beck said while letting out a deep cough.

Former President Donald Trump’s unpaid and unofficial hype man proceeded to ask Beck if he had begun taking a monoclonal antibody cocktail, which has shown to be somewhat effective on persistent COVID-19 cases. But with the new Omicron variant, the treatment has proven largely ineffective, according to multiple studies.

“No, the monoclonal doesn’t seem to be working for the new strain,” Beck responded before listing off a series of drugs, including ivermectin, which he has been consuming to hit the sickness “hard.”

“I have had it for about a week,” Beck continued while coughing. “I’m not going downhill. I mean, I think I’m feeling better. It’s just getting into my lungs... you will want to avoid that,” he said about the sickness progressing into his lower respiratory tract.

“Mark, I am not concerned about it. I’m really not,” the radio host claimed. “I just am so done with this whole COVID thing. I know it is real.”

Beck concluded: “I am a fatty-fat-fatso, so that is probably not the best thing, and I got some other issues.”
