He lied and said that the Democrats refused any investigation into the election. It was time for trial by combat. Eastman got up and said there was clear evidence of fraud and that it was a stolen election.

Trump got on stage, thanked Giuliani and Eastman for their courage. And then said that the crooked media would lie about the crowd size where there were 'hundreds of thousands of people' (a lie), that the election was stolen, and that again it would be too late. He said it was a stolen election. He said he was hoping Mike Pence would 'do the right thing' which of course was part of the attempt to steal the election and Pence had no legal right to do. He said states want to revote, states want to recertify, that there was fraud. All of this was a lie. He said they were there to save democracy.

Then Trump said this We want to go back and we want to get this right because we're going to have somebody in there that should not be in there and our country will be destroyed and we're not going to stand for that.

Then he said that the Republicans were weak except the ones who stood with the 'patriots', who are the 'real people', not the ones who want to destroy America.

It goes on and on like this. He claims the election was over at 10 pm and that the Democrats stole the election (another blatant lie).

He says they are going to march down and fight. Yes, he said peacefully and patriotically once, and that he would be with them, but then he went on to villainize congress again, going on with "We're going to see whether or not we have great and courageous leaders, or whether or not we have leaders that should be ashamed of themselves throughout history, throughout eternity they'll be ashamed.

And you know what? If they do the wrong thing, we should never, ever forget that they did. Never forget. We should never ever forget."

He rambled for a while after that, Hillary and Hunter Biden and nonsense about the corrupt media making this a communist country. But the Oath Keepers had already started leading the crowd away to their march on the Capitol. You remember these nice people whose leaders are getting 30 years for seditious conspiracy because they clearly had plans in place to overthrow the government?

And then he sums up with: And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore.

And then they went and did just that, and now many of the people arrested for it are saying that they did so specifically because Trump asked, including the leader of the Oath Keepers.

Hard to believe anyone is this stupid, but there are a lot of folks in the US who are reflexively contrarian, and they do stupid shit to themselves and others just because smarter people tell them it's stupid.

It's illegal to incite a crowd to violence. It's illegal to attack policemen. It's illegal to breach the capitol. It's illegal to attempt to stop the certification of the Presidential election. It's illegal to conspire to overthrow the government. It's illegal to try to get election officials to falsify the election results.

This is why there are 1000 people and counting arrested for Jan 6th, a RICO investigation into fraudulently overturning the election in GA, more in MI, they are looking into it in AZ, and Jack Smith as special counsel indicting Trump for fraud and denying other people their rights under the Constitution.

Quite frankly, they could be charged with more.

I just want a pro-Trump Republican to explain to me how blatantly and proudly attempting to subvert and overturn a fair election is not a fascist thing to do, but attempting to punish those who do so is.
