I attended the A&M vs. ULaLa game last night. It was a slaughter, which was expected. The Aggie running game looks very strong, and the tight ends are the best in the conference. Keep an eye on freshman tailback Mike Goodson. The kid is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands.\

In other news, Texas Bites. The shortwhorn loss was made all the sweeter when I woke up this morning to a newspaper article out of San Antonio about the classless behavior of the sip faithfull. Something those of us in the Big 12 have been aware of for years. But cheer up little sips. You can always bum some weed off your pothead football players to improve your mood.

What a weekend. Tech managed to pull it out with a field goal in OT that bounced off the upright. :jayzus: Next week will be the true test, maybe. Who actually knows how good TCU is. They typically are way overrated, but this year that may be Tech. I suppose it could be that Utep is underrated. :clyde:

In better news, tu lost. Storm, told ya bitch. :D And I'd like to say "hahahaha" to the rest of you who wanted Texas to win.

They used some of that Jesus Juice last year against Nebraska and OU as well. That's half of what college football is though, just luck being on your side.

Anyone going to any games this weekend besides me? I'm going to Texas Tech vs TCU. It should be a good one.

If only all players had this guys heart!

I posted this one in the red room too since it's definately not your everyday just sports story.

Good news for Texas State though! I'm sure they were dreading returning those 37 yard punts! :techman:

I wondered if you weren't going to that one. Looks to be a good one, too bad it's getting overshadowed by bigger games this week.

At least Maryland is making it respectable against WVU. 45-24 at last check. :(

Bummer. Just found out I'm probably going to be airlining home during the better part (maybe all of) the USC-Nebraska game. I was hoping to go earlier in the day and be home by gametime, but apparently not this week.

I hear it is one of the biggest weekends ever in College Football because there are 7 game being played with one top 25 team vs another... so basically 14 of the top 25 are playing another top 25 team this week. That really is incredible, I'm just glad I get to go to one of them.

Good luck Nebraska, Wreck'em Tech, Gig'em Ags, Go Big XII! Fuck tu.

Company fucked up my schedule today and I'm probably not going to make it all the way home. The good news is that I now have at least a fighting chance of catching this game in a hotel somewhere between Ohio and Idaho. :techman:

    Fight on for old SC!

Well, for a short time there earlier, I was really hoping that Cincinatti was going to spoil OSU's season. But they woke up and recovered. It would be ironic, however, if an "ugly" win on a weekend when the competition kicks everyone's ass 70-0 result in them being knocked out of the number one spot... :soholy:

I am genuinely surprised that OU is winning, 33-20 at the moment. Adrian Peterson once again carrying the Sooners. Once again we see that whatever game it is those Pacific Northwest boys are playing, it ain't football. They can keep their puke green unis with the tire tread bling...

What can you say? Oregon pulled a Texas Tech and was the beneficiary of a horrible call that even the announcers said was a travesty. What's even more pathetic is that the call was reviewed and even with indisputable video evidence that the Oregon player illegally touched the ball before it went 10 yards, they upheld it.

So they'll celebrate, but they're celebrating a false victory. Yay Oregon, I'd give at least half the game ball to the officials, they're the reason you won the game. There's no honor in a technical victory that you achieved only by cheating.

    Speaking of Tech, WTF, Tex?!?!

No touchdowns for the Tech offense, or even the both teams? :jayzus:

I was stunned when I saw Tech with three points in the thrid.

Whew! Bolted into my hotel room in Denver leaving a vapor trail, two plays before the USC touchdown to make it 14-3.

I'll catch the entire second half. :techman:

Oh, and I see Notre Dame got schooled by Michigan. Overrated motherfuckers. Never saw that coming.

And my fervent prayers to Odin will include death and Hel for Ohio State.

I don't ever want to see Snoop Doggie Fuckin' Dog, on TV or otherwise, in USC gear, ever again! :ualbert:

    Agreed that OU got robbed.

However, that's a totally different thing than talking shit about being up by 13 points and then losing the game. Whatever they are playing isn't football?

If Oklahoma so out classed them, one bad call shouldn't have mattered.

Oklahoma is once again an also ran. As they've been since USC made them quit and go home in the national championship.

USC still isn't firing on all cylinders - that offense looked sluggish at times. But Nebraska isn't ready yet for prime time, primarily because they didn't take advantage of the opportunities they had.

Notre Dame was smoked. Wonder if Michigan can keep it up. They sure looked like a national title contender.

And Auburn 7, LSU 3? I'm sure Anc will take it, and I appreciate a good defensive game, but you have to show a pulse to be a serious contender for the national championship. Auburn won, but I bet USC leapfrogs them to #2. And Notre Dame should land somewhere outside that top 10 after that embarassing performance.

This is pretty evil, but I'm more excited about Notre Dame getting knocked OUT of the top 10 than I am about SC moving up.
