No, unfortunately I don't have that kind of authority, yet. However you are not a fan of the Sports teams, that status has been revoked. You are now like one of those Asian or Indian students found on every university campus who have no interest in American sports at all. It's time for you to purchase a ten speed bike and start applying to med schools. If Auburn forms a Cricket or Ping Pong team you are allowed to have an interest, but that's as far as it goes. Now go eat your curry or fried rice and stop wasting our time in here.
They made an arrest. A 62 year old retired Texas State Trooper. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=6131518&campaign=rss&source=NCFHeadlines
...according to him on his Facebook page (which has apparently been taken down now). I find it curious that he would refer to himself that way because there is no such thing as a "Texas State Trooper". They're "Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers" or "Texas DPS Troopers". Still, what a douchebag.
So first the Red Raiders hire Tommy Tuberville, the Aggies fantasy football coach, and now it appears Tech will hire Billy Gillespie, the best basketball coach in the Ags history. Ouch.
I don't buy that 'you're in the public eye 24/7' mentality for some of these jobs. A guy has to be able to let his hair down sometime or its not worth it. Of course, he didn't have to take the job if that's the stipulation either, so.
No need to rush. Still plenty of pleasure to be savored from the 2010 season. In fact I think I'll sit out 2011 and just watch reruns of 2010 (have you seen our away schedule! ).
Jim Tressel has resigned as head coach at Ohio State. Tressel Resigns - CBS Sports Too bad for Tressel, his teams showed great sportmanship, self-discipline, and performed above their athletic ability. Buckeye assistant Luke Fickell will be head coach at Ohio State next season.
Now OSU should lose a bunch of scholarships and be banned from Bowl games for a couple of years- just like USC. Same for Auburn.
