[action=Bailey]carefully gets out the chalk and draws a third notch on the nose of his ship.[/action]
Okay, how the fuck did you manage to kill my player? If you blew me up, my escape pod should have put me in Sector 0. Yet it said I died.
Combat lost!March 27 2007 06:14:21You ship is being attacked by Bailey Mk2. Try as you might, you cannot defend yourself against Bailey Mk2's superior weaponry. Your ship was destroyed. You did not have an escape pod, you died. Combat lost!March 27 2007 06:14:21You ship is being attacked by Bailey Mk2. I've noticed the game seems to repeat log entries - unless phantom REALLY scanned my planets that many times last game and occasionally actions (I once deployed two Genesis Torpedoes when I only clicked once), so maybe it hiccuped and attacked you twice? Why the first death didn't put your escape pod in Sector 0 is a mystery though, the second attack shouldn't have had anything to target.
While the universe is buggy (and has been everytime we have played this) at least you can have the consolation of knowing the Galactica died an honourable death, going down fighting. This time they didn't leave Caprica to fend for itself.
The Executor's turbolaser batteries have liberated and obliterated one of the planets captured by the Interstellar Alliance. I really didn't want to do it but the planet's defenses were just too weak to resist the temptation.
Ah, Stryke, this quarrel was not with you. Never mind though, I'm sure your single member alliance will back you up when the time comes. edit: The people of Subjugated Planet #6 will be avenged.
Like the slogan says, the Galactic Empire fights for a safe and secure society (whether the citizens of the verse want one or not ) They are enjoying their new life on Korriban, free from ISA oppression.
Well, I was hoping a bit more political brinkmanship would emerge given the smaller universe, hence my offer to serve as a neutral go-between for a cut of any transactions between the alliances, but...
Ive no intention of attacking anyone, at least not 'till ive totaly got bored of the game. I think ill just keep my tech below 8 and always log out in fed space
Bailey attacked, conquered, and then destroyed my undefended, peaceful world in Sector 17. For no apparent reason other than to be a bastard. And so the Shit-list has it's first new entry for this game.
I can't help but notice that every member of the Interstellar Alliance is evil... Perhaps the shadows are at work.
With knowledge in hand from last game, I didn't waste a thousand turns real spacing to a random sector with Level-0 engines this go around. I look forward to conquering... errr, liberating the galaxy.
Ok, I'm in though I don't know how active I am going to be. I would like to join an alliance if anyone will have me after my bastardliness during the beginning of last game. Col. Kassad, piloting the Shrike - if you've read Hyperion you'll get the reference, otherwise you should read it because it is a damn awesome book.
I still don't know how, but I have 2 colonists. 2. I didn't get them anywhere. The planet I found was uninhabited. I don't know where they came from. How DO I get colonists, anyway?
Planets always come with 2 colonists for some reason. Last game I thought they were like Adam and Eve, but they're gay and don't breed. You have to go to sector 0, port and buy them. THEN they start breeding. You won't have to do that too much. They'll breed faster than anything sooner or later and you'll have to colonize new planets just to deal with the overflow.
Yay! Now I know how to put a base on a planet! But I don't know what for so that's probably a long ways off.
I just went by sector 0. It's the same as the other special port I found. My capacity for colonists is 0/0.
