I can understand the if this was a FB that was linked in a sig, like what happened with the Actormike LiveJournal shit way back when. If you link it to WF, then any and everyone potentially has access. But this is a bit more gray area. I'm not just talking about this incident, where the only harm was to Sokar's ego, perhaps, but things like calling people's workplace and emailing links of their threads to their bosses, which is probably why stuff like this isn't tolerated.

We post pictures of people without their permission here all the time. There are tons of threads in the red room right now with pictures in them. A lot of them aren't even famous people, they are just funny pics from the internet or a non celeb in a news story. The difference is that they aren't members of WF. Your facebook page was entirely open to the public. Over 50 members of WF were in a facebook group with you and had full access. Every single person here actually had full access if they happened to come across your page. I didn't post something that was a big secret. I didn't post a link to your facebook page even. All I did was save a picture and upload it here. I didn't post your name on here even though at least 50 of us knew it. There isn't really much of a chance it would have been linked back to that not-so-private facebook account of yours anyway. The only thing I did was post a picture that was open to the world anyway. The ban was silly. Even still, no big deal. I didn't raise a big fuss about it then, and I'm not going to now. Watching you out yourself was reward enough.

I like Sokar. He's okay in my book. Known him forever (online anyway). But I like Tex too. So I'm not gonna get into all that drama.

I've always liked Sokar and I say that even remembering that he gave me some shit in the past for being anti-Bush. The one good thing that came out of Obama's election was that a lot of posters, including Sokar, saw that I really am an Independent.

I've laughed my ass off many times watching him rip on somebody.

As for Tex, I like Tex. I have no personal issues with him at all. Zero. None. But I do think he was wrong for posting Sokar's photo without Sokar's permission and I would say the same thing for any poster on this board. If I want my photo posted here, I'll post it or give my permission for someone else to post it. If I don't give permission, don't do it.
